Summary Canyoning
Zonaktiva Canyoning is a fantastic activity, through which you will enjoy nature like you have never done before.
We will travel along a section of a river, in which we will find different obstacles that we will have to overcome, either by jumping, climbing, rappelling, or letting ourselves be carried along water slides. Decide which ravine you want to try first:
- The Río Verde ravine: it is in the Sierra de la Almijara, which belongs to Granada and allows us a descent of 3 and a half hours starting from Otívar that we will do from 10 a.m. in the morning. It has a medium difficulty, although it depends on the flow, and can be entered by young people from 13 years.
- The Paterna River ravine: of the same duration and difficulty although our meeting point will change to the town of Laujar de Andarax. It has an exciting 15 meter rappel and narrow walls that we will pass with the help of ropes.
Next to you, one of our excellent instructors will be there, telling you at all times what you should do, so you don't have to worry if you don't have experience, since he will teach you everything.
Summary Climbing
Zonaktiva Escalada is a different way of getting to know the mountains. Climbing is an activity that requires the effort of the entire body, and also the mind.
Climbing is considered any ascent that is made using the lower and upper extremities. One of our priority objectives is for you to learn all the safety techniques, to be able to practice the activity without any risk. The best way to get started in any activity is to know how to do it safely! We have several areas to do it:
- Climbing in the Sierra de Alhamilla: it is an ideal location for a climbing baptism in Laujar de Andarax. We will schedule a 3 and a half hour session in the morning, starting at 10 a.m., because that is when the temperature is most pleasant for it.
- Climbing in Salto del Gallo: we will be in the Sierra de Gádor for a planned activity to spend the full day. That's why we include a sandwich and a soft drink to make a stop at midday. To arrange a date we need to have a group of at least 4 people and we will not exceed 8 participants to serve you well.
Summary Boat Trips
At Zonaktiva Boat Trips we carry out excursions in which we sail along the incredible coastline of Cabo de Gata in July and August.
We take you, on a tour of approximately 1 hour, to rarely accessible landscapes along routes that will allow you to enter virgin coves. We will visit semi-submerged caves where, if you wish, we will stop to bathe and discover their natural secrets more closely. You will enjoy this refreshing activity like a child.
The excursions leave from various points depending on the direction of the wind, Las Negras, and La Isleta del Moro:
- Boat route with snorkel: it is a 90-minute excursion, almost always starting from Isleta del Moro although, depending on the conditions, it can be replaced by Las Negras. We will follow the cliffs and stop at a safe point so you can jump into the water.
- Boat departure to the La Polacra Marine Reserve: which will take us to Cala de los Toros where we will see the dark color of its sand that originated from the ancient volcanoes that formed these coasts. p>
The boat we use is a type of semi-rigid transport, similar to those used for rescue and rescue.

During the activity the kayak had much more prominence than the snorkeling.
We did not leave from the Cala del Cuervo, which we had chosen for its proximity to our accommodation, but from the “Fabriquilla” area, which implied an additional displacement of one hour by road both to the first leg and the return.
In addition, the snorkeling was not carried out in the publicized area "Route del Arrecife de las Sirenas", where there were supposedly corals, but next to the Fabriquilla, in a fairly common area.
Snorkel's experience was similar to that of any beach day where it was enough to get away a few meters from the shore with the glasses to see some fish, something that is always spectacular in this coast. However, it was not worth hiring an excursion for it, since the experience was practically the same as the one that can be on its own account on any beach in the area. And it is assumed that the excursion revolved around the snorkeling.
The activity began at twelve and ended at two, so it had a duration of only two hours. We miss the third hour that appears publicized. Of course, I want to emphasize that staff Lucas, Alex and Joaquín was excellent: very friendly and attentive to the whole group. They struggled to help and that no one felt excluded, especially with those who had less experience or physical capacity.
Without a doubt, what distinguished them was the staff, and therefore, and because I have the doubt that these changes of plans were due to the weather, although I have my doubts, I give them three stars. -

What a pleasure when someone passionate about nature and especially Almería does this activity.
Very nice and personal in everything that counted. We did it at the last minute so there are very few people and it is more pleasant. Although perhaps waiting until very late is not recommended because there is less light when diving. In any case, you will love it at any time.
We were lucky to have a calm day with a beautiful sunset. Thank you! -

It was a great morning, we really enjoyed discovering a little piece of Cabo de Gata from a kayak.
The guides that took us through the area of Las Negras and up to the Playazo were fun, they explained some curious things to us in relation to the landscape and they gave us a little while to practice snorkeling before going back to the jetty. "Los Lucas" and Curro were the the activity a perfect experience. -

Highly recommended excursion. The Isleta del Moro area is beautiful, and the best view of the cliffs is from the sea. The boat that took us is great and the treatment and explanations of Carlos, the skipper, very good. We bathe in a cove with seabeds full of algae and fish. Wonderful. To repeat. -
