At TivissaRocks we want you to discover the wonderful world of mountaineering from all possible angles, and if it is from the heights, the better. For this reason, we have organized several activities that will allow you to get closer and introduce yourself to climbing and test your skills to overcome all the obstacles that arise during your training. Our activities are the following:

• Climbing baptism: suitable for all audiences, regardless of their level of training. We start from scratch, learning the basics of this sport and knowing our strengths and those that we must improve. We have an ideal natural environment for practicing climbing; in fact, the south of Catalonia is considered the world epicenter of this sport. Some of the places where we will practice climbing are the Tivissa, Margalef, Siurana, or Montserrat sector. The duration of the baptism is usually a full day.

• Initiation course: the objective of this course is to achieve the autonomy necessary in the logistical preparation of a day of climbing. We will teach you how to belay your partner, how to tie different types of knots and how to deepen the progression technique. We will put into practice everything we have learned on different routes that we will do on aweekend or 2 alternate days.

In addition, we have other types of courses for more advanced levels for which we will be happy to advise you.

At TivissaRocks we are lovers of nature and everything related to mountains and heights, which is why we have organized several activities that will allow you to get to know the environment in a closer way and with a personal treatment that allows us different from the rest of the companies.

We have several expert hiking guides who are in charge of designing routes of different levels of difficulty and different themes. Some of them are intended for the observation of the flora and fauna of the area; others focus on the stories and legends of the environment. The variety is very wide, so it is best that you consult our catalog and decide which tour you want to take.

An example of the routes most acclaimed by our users are:

• The rock paintings of the Vilella cave: 12 km circular route which is usually completed in 3 hours. We left early to take advantage of the morning light and thus contemplate the landscape in all its splendor.

• Tivissa deciduous forests: forest and silvicola route, dedicated to the knowledge of the different mountainous environments and their characteristics. We will see protected tree species such as the Holly and the Yew that survive in the most humid and wild corners of our territory.

• GR-7 Trail: route through the most beautiful places that this mythical long-distance trail runs through, curiously we will pass through the point where this practice of marking the trails began: kilometer zero of the long-distance trails in the Hermitage of Sant Blai de Tivissa.

• Sierra de Llaberia: starting from the beautiful town of Pratdip, we will travel through one of the most beautiful ridges with views of the Mediterranean in the entire territory: Las Crestas de la Seda. A route that will take us to the highest point of the Costa Dorada, Miranda de Llaberia where the weather radar is located.

At TivissaRocks we are lucky to have a wonderful natural environment that allows us to carry out all kinds of activities in the high mountains. One of them is the practice of the via ferrata, a sport that combines the best of climbing and hiking.

In our company we organize several outings of different difficulty so, whether you want to get started in this sport or if what you need is to deepen your technique, you can find the route that best suits your needs. Some of the via ferratas we do are:

• Via Ferrata dels Patacons, in La Mussara:It has a 480-meter route with 4 Nepalese bridges, crossings through belts and needles, rappelling and vertical sections. We will be 1000 meters above sea level, so the views of the Tarragona countryside and the Costa Dorada are impressive.

• Via Ferrata Tormo de la Margarida, in Tivissa: perfect for beginners. We will climb a small needle from which we can see a beautiful panoramic view of the town and the entire banks of the Ebro and the Priorat. We recommend doing it late in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset.

• Via Ferrata del Barranc de la Foig, Tivissa:low difficulty. It runs through the dry ravine of the Tivissa mountain range that offers us vertical sections and, in addition, generous shade on summer days.

• Ferrata del Montsant, the Morera del Montsant: this is the best-known via ferrata in all of Tarragona for its spectacular route. It has 2 Tibetan bridges and a 30-meter vertical spire. The itinerary ends at the top of Montsant, a perfect place to enjoy the views of Priorat, the Prades mountains and the banks of the Ebro.
