Company Overview
At the Catllar Equestrian Center we have 20 hectares dedicated to activities related to horse riding. The environment is perfect to enjoy nature since the interior of the Coll de Tapioles is located between the Mediterranean and the forested areas of El Catllar.
We focus both on the training of new riders and horsewomen and on leisure proposals in which horses are always the protagonists. That's why when you come to see us you will find:
- Equestrian school: for all ages, from 4 years old. Thanks to the docility of our animals, learning is very easy from the beginning. Lessons are available between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every day except Mondays when we have a break. The only variation to this schedule is on Sundays, when we are only open in the morning. If it doesn't suit you, we adapt!
- Horseback riding routes through the forest and the beach: excursions for which we do not require a prior level of horsemanship. We will explain to new participants how to proceed to ensure that anyone can have a great day on horseback.
- Equestrian camps: for children from 4 years old and young people up to 17 on non-school days. You can be with us from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until 6 p.m. eating at the camp.
Summary Horseback Riding
With the Center Hípic del Catllar you can ride horses very close to the Mediterranean coast. You will depart from our facilities in Coll de Tapioles, which give us quick access to the forests of this beautiful area of Tarragona.
Our horseback riding routes are ideal for any adult even if they have never been in contact with horses. In fact, we can opt for a tour so simple that it is suitable for the little ones in the family if you come with them. If they are too little to accompany you, we can prepare a pony ride so that they can also enjoy horseback riding.
Ride along the beach in front of the Mediterranean on horseback or explore the rural roads that surround our estate. We will do it for at least 1 hour, from there we will customize the duration of the excursion so that it adapts to your tastes and knowledge. You can come almost any day of the year. The schedule is not a problem either because we will specify it with you.
Keep in mind that before leaving the facilities we are going to explain to you the commands you must give the horse during the route and how you should position yourself to be comfortable and safe on it. With this you will have a small riding base that you can expand with our classes if you want to continue learning.

The equestrian center is really very beautiful, the horses are magnificent and very well treated. We had Jean Lou as a instructor he was exceptional. My daughter and I had already made horse, we were able to be trotting as well as gallop.
The staff are really very welcoming, it was really a good time that we will go on during our next visit to Spain. I really recommend this center.
