Thermik flight in two-seater paraglider in Accous, 30 min

With the Thermik, you will fly for thirty minutes in a two-seater paraglider in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques, or double the Discovery flight, because your instructor will set off in search of thermals. These warm air currents rise when the sun has heated the ground, which is why this flight only takes place in the afternoon. As soon as the instructor finds one, it turns inside so that the canopy regains height instead of descending toward landing.

Thanks to the altitude gained, you will discover the Aspe valley under your feet and the Gave which flows below, with Accous, the villages and the peaks all around. When turning, you can tilt with the monitor to accompany the maneuver. The direction of the sail remains in his hands.

These thirty minutes remain indicative, because the strength of the thermals changes from one day to the next. Some afternoons the air carries itself, while other times the instructor has to look for thermals. He chooses the takeoff site based on the conditions and we cannot guarantee the landing location.

Photos are not included and are optional. If you come with several people, our nine-seater shuttle mounts four tandems per rotation so that you can fly at the same time.

Good to know: half an hour at altitude is felt on the hands and face even in the middle of summer. Remember to bring a down jacket as well as small gloves and sunglasses.
