Sierra Nevada Adventure & Ski

At Sierra Nevada Adventure & Ski we take you canyoning to Río Verde. We will go to the municipality of Otivar while we get to know the interior of the Sierra de la Almijara.

What we like most about this canyon is that you can do sections of different levels, thus adapting the activity to adults looking for a new challenge, to those who are going to experience canyoning for the first time or to children. Our usual descent is a total of 6 hours but we will take into account the characteristics of the group that visits us.

The Río Verde canyon has both steep sections in which you have to advance at a slightly slower pace, as well as lighter sections that are fun, especially at initiation levels. Various obstacles are also overcome using rappelling as a technique. In these cases, it will be the instructor who will prepare each of the participants, explaining what they must do and securing them with the ropes that they take to the ravine as part of the collective material for the entire group.

In the ravine we will put on wetsuits and a helmet that we will also transport directly from the meeting point. It is important that you keep it on until we finish the activity.

With Sierra Nevada Adventure & Ski you have the widest variety of trails to explore in the province of Granada. Count on us if you want a quiet walk to get to know the surroundings or if you want an intense path to the top of the mountain. We will go for example:

- To climb the Mulhacén: it is an activity that can be done during the day or at night and will take us a total of 12 hours, so we recommend that participants have a certain physical fitness to endure this challenge without problems.

- To the Vereda de la Estrella: you will know one of the most beautiful paths within the Sierra Nevada suitable for adults and children with a time of between 5 and 6 hours.

- To the Tram or Acequias route: another of our family proposals for which we will need less than half a day. In 3 hours we will have finished the tour.

- To Los Cahorros de Monachil: a peculiar 3-hour excursion that passes between various hanging bridges.

- To the Laguna de las Yeguas or the so-called Lagunillos de la Virgen: we will see the reflection of the sky in these water surfaces in an activity scheduled for 4 hours.

- To Barranco de San Juan: we will follow the bed of the Genil River on a 3-hour path that is very comforting in terms of views.

- To the Chorreras del Molinillo: beautiful waterfalls in the Sierra Nevada for a route of up to 5 hours.

• We teach group classes in the morning and afternoon. In the first case, only from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and in the afternoons from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

• The price includes the rental of complete equipment for snowboarding, so you won't have to worry about anything other than learning and having fun, because you can also use it all day.

• If you have your own snowboard equipment and prefer to bring it, you will receive a discount on the final price.

• You can also opt for private classes if you want to perfect a specific movement and want exclusive attention.

• In the latter case you can choose between 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours of class.

• Skiing continues to be one of the most sought-after practices to do in winter, so our team of professionals will give you the best advice and teachings so that you can get the most out of the day.

• Alpine skiing will not only get you in shape, but you will also enjoy the views and a very exciting sport.

• We put into practice a didactic approach that facilitates rapid learning for all students, which corrects certain attitudes that are easy to take as vices and, above all, in the safest way possible.

• We offer a wide schedule of private and group classes so your availability doesn't matter.

• The groups are small to show as much attention as possible to each person. You can choose 3 hours in the morning or 2 hours in the afternoon.

• If you prefer a private class, you can opt for 1 hour, 2, 3 or 4.

• In both cases the rental of material is included, so we avoid having to carry all the equipment. However, if you are used to your own set or prefer to use your own, you can bring it and thus benefit from a discount on the price.

• Among our teams of professionals there are fabulous guides who will take you along spectacular snowy trails, telling you the curiosities of the area.

• The meeting point is Hoya de la Mora. There the instructors will provide you with snowshoes and poles, you will only have to come prepared with appropriate clothing for the snow: technical jacket and pants, hat and sunglasses, only protection and something to eat such as nuts, a sandwich, water. ..whatever you think you'll need.

• For approximately 3 hours and a distance of about 7 kilometers. It is a simple route, so you don't have to have too much physical fitness to come and enjoy it.

• After having passed through places such as the Astrophysical Observatory, the ridge of the Virgin of the Snows, while we enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Granada, we will have an aperitif strong>.

• We return to the starting point where we will finish the route.
