We encourage you to explore with us the natural places that surround Granada in the Sierra Nevada, the Sierra de Huétor Natural Park and other enclaves such as Las Alpujarras or the valley of the Genil River. A hiking proposal with which to spend the entire day discovering the Granada mountain landscape.

Why don't you try one of our routes?

• Vereda de la Estrella: We followed a path that led to some old copper mines next to the course of the Genil River and from the municipality of Guéjar Sierra. Between 5 and 7 hours long.

• Dehesa del Camarate: Simple but long route with almost 8 hours of travel through forests of oaks, chestnuts, maples, etc. We will move to the foot of Picón de Jeres, an imposing peak that exceeds 3,000 meters in altitude.

• Camino de los Neveros: A highly physically demanding route that climbs towards the peaks of the Sierra Nevada, following the route that was once taken by those who were looking for snow to go down to Granada.

• Cahorros de Monachil: The Monachil River excavated thousands of years ago a spectacular canyon that we now travel through between boxed walls. Low gradient route.

• Pico del Trevenque: We ascend to this natural viewpoint of the Sierra Nevada, located in the low mountains of Granada, at more than 2,000 meters above sea level. Between 6 and 7 hours of crossing.

• Marquesado del Zenete: Hiking through the easternmost area of Sierra Nevada with Renaissance-style castles and cave houses. It will take us all day to complete it.

• Alpujarra: Particular area in the south of Sierra Nevada, much more arid than the northern area and where buildings inherited from the time of the Kingdom of Granada survive.

• Sulayr: In this route a circular direction is drawn through the Alto Genil, the Dilar river valley, the Lecrín valley, the Alpujarras, the Alhama river valley, etc. Long distance that is completed in several days. You will have logistical support with an aid vehicle and accommodation reservation.

You can also undertake with us ascensions to Granada peaks such as Mulhacén, Veleta, Alcazaba or Caballo. All of them exceeding 3,000 meters of altitude.

There will always be a guide with the group who will provide all the information and data you need to know about the routes.

At Nevada Guides we provide you with a mountain bike, a helmet and the company of a guide so that you can discover in a natural and very sporty way the majestic landscapes that surround the city of Granada.

Routes through forest roads and tracks in very good condition where it is easy to pedal and contemplate Granada's nature while you do a little legwork.

We have prepared in great detail these beautiful cycle routes:

• Llano de la Perdiz – Sacromonte: You will pass through the Alhambra, through a dense Mediterranean forest near Cerro del Sol and return to Granada through the unique neighborhood of Sacromonte and Albaicín. Half a day and 20 km away from an average level.

• Granada – Pinos Genil: You will leave Granada to head towards Pinos Genil following the bed of the Genil River. A route without great unevenness and therefore affordable, 16 km and 3 hours long.

• Sierra de Huétor Natural Park: 5 hours of crossing through this protected space, leaving from the Puerto Lobo visitor center. Throughout the entire route you will be surrounded by pine and oak forests. There are routes of all levels.

• Trasnevada: This proposal is designed for mountain bike adventurers since it consists of 8 stages with a total of 450 km. Describes a circular route throughout the Sierra Nevada. Between 45 and 80 km daily. You will have a support vehicle and provisioning at the end of the stages with transfer of shops and accommodation.

The most spectacular landscapes of the Sierra Nevada with its peaks of more than 3,000 meters high such as Pico Veleta or Mulhacén will be very close to you with our tours in a 4x4 off-road vehicle.

A very comfortable and at the same time very adventurous way to travel through high mountain landscapes and through steep roads that are very difficult to access for other types of vehicles.

• Rinconada and Niguelas Fault

With these tours we will be able to see the entireVega de Granada, the Nasrid city itself, highlighting the Alhambra Palace, geological monuments and the lagoons from Padul, on the southern face of the Sierra Nevada.

Using the 4x4 taxi service we can pick you up and take you to the place where we start the routes and drop you off back where you tell us.

A guide will accompany you throughout the route and will be the best help to explain everything you are going to see.
