On Granada beach you can enjoy kitesurfing. Throughout the year, AWA Watersports Granada Kitesurf is open and is a Spot for you to practice sailing with winds from the West and East.

In Motril we teach our kitesurfing courses in which we will provide you with all our material to get you started in this fantastic sport. These courses include:

• 3-hour Basic Course: good to start with this discipline. In this course we will acquire the basic notions of meteorology and navigation directions. We will learn about the different types of kites, we will learn to prepare the equipment, we will become familiar with the safety systems and we will do kite flying exercises on land.

• 6-hour Basic Course: get started and get some practice. To the above we will add traction, power, takeoff and landing exercises on the beach, sports simulation in the sand and bodydrag in the water.

• Complete 9-hour course: you will have the first sensations of gliding in the water. We will perfect the bodydrag, we will know how to launch the kite again from inside the water, we will begin waterstart and we will be able to plan in the water and navigate with the board.

• Improvement: you will be an expert in upwind, cross or long courses, we will teach you self-rescue, changes in direction, jumping technique and maneuvers.

These courses are carried out by a qualified team from the Spanish Sailing Federation and the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization), a safe way that guarantees that you will efficiently learn the practice of this activity.

At the end of the course, we will give you an official certificate in which you will learn about the benefits you have experienced in this sport and the aspects in which you can still improve a lot.

Departures every day from Burriana beach (Nerja) Guided routes by instructors and in groups.

The activity consists of a Paddlesurf route normally departing from Burriana beach in Nerja, touring the Maro cliffs next to the Cerro Gordo natural park, arriving at the Maro waterfall.

The Wolf Cave, you can paddle through the interior of its vault and see the entry of sunlight under the rocks.

The cove of the Maro ravine, crystal clear waters, a natural pool in the sea that makes you feel like you are in another place km from here. In this place we can enjoy the seabed by snorkeling.

Maro Waterfall, we can go under it, feeling in an authentic natural Spa in the middle of the sea. A truly unique place in the heart of the cliff.

It is not necessary to have experience, the level of difficulty is low. The routes include all the necessary material, board and paddle for each user, you just have to come and enjoy this natural place just a step away from home.

At AWA Watersports we have catamaran sailing courses to get you started in this world. These boats will make learning easier for you due to their two hulls that provide balance and the speed they can reach.

We are in Motril, Granada's beach. From here we leave to sail in waters where the winds are good for carrying out the activity.

We have the following courses:

• 3-hour introductory course: where we will learn the basics about nautical skills: tying knots, transverse navigation, preparing the equipment, your position in the crew, tasks that you must take into account, luffing, tacking or falling.

• 6-hour introductory course: we will delve into cross-country navigation without losing windward, we will gain windward and we will start jibing once we have mastered the complete tack to windward.

• 10-hour advanced course: we will control the round tack, the beginning and end of the crossing, as well as upwind navigation with the wind catchers.

In these boats you can rehearse to practice with larger boats in the future. It is an excellent first step to get started in the world of nautical.

AWA Watersports Granada also brings you the possibility of renting our Catamarans on your own so that you can enjoy them with whoever you want. You can rent them for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours or even 9 hours.

• Initiation Course 10 hours: we will study the courses, perfect the tack and jibe, and you will be able to move independently to the point you want.
