El Cinto de Viñuelas is a route that we have created to surround the Banderillas peak. It is located between the Cazorla and Segura mountains. Without a doubt one of the hardest adventures we have. It is a very little traveled route that sometimes seems almost impossible to advance. During the route we will be able to see the valleys of the Gualdalquivir and Borosa rivers.
From our own experience, this route can only be done in the spring, summer and autumn months, and always ensuring that the weather is good because the route is already quite demanding in itself. The total distance to travel is 21 km by path and track. It is required to have training and have good form since 9 hours of mountain crossing.
Before starting we will study the route and the guide will give you some safety instructions to follow. The groups are not very large, from 2 to 8 people as a maximum. In the case of larger groups it will be necessary to contact the company directly to see the availability of mountain guides.
It does not include transportation to the departure point, and it is by track until there, so we recommend having an SUV type vehicle to get there. In addition, you will need to come with a backpack of approximately 30 liters and the load to be carried on your back is no more than 5 kg.
If climbing material is necessary, such as the helmet, anchors, rope and harnesses, we will provide them to you.
