The Mentiras Peak is part of the natural park of Los Calares del Mundo y la Sima, a beautiful place for its La Mancha landscapes and the immense diversity hidden in its places, adjacent to Andalusia.
The route begins in the village ofCollado Torneroand from the first moment you will notice the constant ascent that exists up to Mentiras. There is a break in an existing fracture in the mountain, perfect to rest and catch your breath for the last stretch.
Although you can go more directly, it is worth climbing the Banderas Peak, at more than 1800 meters high, for its incredible views.
You will get to know the 3 highest mountains in the province of Albacete: Las Cabras, El Mentiras and El Almenaras. Despite the effort involved, this tour is worth it for the beauty of its formations. You won't regret it.
