Tips if you are going to do Coasteering in United Kingdom

Are you looking for an adventure that will take you on a journey? Have you ever wanted to see marine animals up close and personal? Well, then coasteering is the activity for you! Go on a complete adventure around the coastline that’ll involve you using all of your skills – climbing, scrambling, swimming, jumping – to traverse the coast and explore nature!

1. The perfect blend of enjoyment and adrenaline



Coasteering is a full-day adventure; you’ll spend hours exploring the British coastlines, and due to the nature of such routes, there’ll be plenty of challenges and obstacles in your path. Whilst you’re not wading through whirlpools, climbing over rocks or jumping off of cliffs, you have time to enjoy the serenity of the surrounding environment – being able to explore nature up close and personal.

2. It’s a great workout



As we mentioned before, going coasteering means getting a large shot of adrenaline to help get your fix. As well as the physical tasks of manoeuvring across the rocky coastal terrain, you’ll also spend a lot of your time swimming – and you know what that means. Burning calories. Coasteering is a great way to enjoy a new adventure whilst simultaneously keeping fit and active – it’s the perfect experience if you want to go on holiday and enjoy a guilt-free pint afterwards.

3. Available to people of all abilities



Because coasteering is in such an open environment, it’s great for groups of every size – from a small, personal experience to one even the size of a school class! This also means that it’s open to people of all abilities and skill levels. It requires teamwork to traverse the obstacles of the coastline and everyone adopts the ‘no man left behind’ mentality, plus if you really don’t think you can make it through there’s always the option to swim around it. Having the flexibility to cater to groups of all sizes, and people of all abilities, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t give it a go!

4. Wild close encounters



Coastal terrains are full of incredible environments – you have giant cliffs, hard rocks and deep caves and caverns – and when you coasteer, you get to explore all of them. This is the only way you’ll be able to encounter places like this, most likely every in your life, so why miss out? Furthermore, if you’re an animal-lover like ourselves, you’ll be exhilarated to know that whilst out coasteering there’s a high chance you’ll get to be up-close-and-personal with some of nature’s most beautiful marine wildlife – the British coastline is rife with seals and dolphins – all who love to have a curious peek at what’s going on!

5. Perfect for every occasion



Anyone who wants to get a little wild along the coast is welcome to coasteer. Whether it’s a family outing or even a hen/stag do – if you’re willing to go wild, it’s bound to be an incredible experience. Moreover, if you’re looking to help your class full of students or work colleagues to build stronger bonds, what’s better than negotiating the obstacles of the coast together and sharing the adventure of a lifetime!

When should I go coasteering in the UK?



For coasteering, because of the very nature of the sea – the unpredictability of the waves, slipperiness of the rocks, strength of the wind – it’s very important to get all the circumstances correct before attempting the experience. Therefore, we would suggest going during the summer/autumn when the heat is high and the winds are calm, but always leave it to the local guide to finalise the plans. But when the conditions are just right, we highly recommend you take the plunge!
