Croyde Surf Academy

Croyde Surf Academy is located in North Devon, in the South West of the UK. You can find our academy on one of the best surfing places in the world. Croyde Beach offers you a sandy beach, spectacular views and amazing waves. Here, we organise courses, teach private lessons and offer equipment hire for the more experienced surfers.

If you have never tried surfing and you would like to learn, then come participate in one of our beginners' courses. If you have already had courses in the past and you are a more advanced surfer looking to improve your skills, then choose one of our improvers or advanced courses. We offer a wide range of courses to suit all needs, both for adults and children. All equipment, sunscreen and water are included and video analysis is available as well.

We also offer individual tuition on all levels, from beginners to advanced. Those, who are already comfortable to surf their own, but don’t have their own equipment or would like to test a new board, can hire what they need from our extensive selection of surf equipment.

Our academy runs as well special events and tutorials with frequency, so if you are interested in participating on one of our competitions or sponsored days, don’t hesitate to contact us!

Croyde Surf Academy is located in beautiful North Devon and offers not only surf, but stand-up paddle boarding activities as well. The Croyde Bay in the South West of the UK has not only a beautiful sandy beach, but spectacular views and an amazing coastline as well. Exploring this coast on stand-up paddleboards is an entirely different experience from surfing.

We offer both introductory courses and guided S.U.P. tours to visit the hidden caves and secluded coves of North Devon, being as close to nature as one can be. If you have never tried stand-up paddle boarding, then before going on an excursion you should enroll on one of our S.U.P. courses. We conduct introductory sessions on an enclosed private lake for first-timers and open water paddle experiences for those who already have some experience paddle boarding. Those who are already confident with the basics can join us on one of our coastal day tours or take advantage of our equipment hire service.

If you are interested in trying out a new water activity, don’t hesitate to do paddle boarding with us! Our accredited and experienced instructors will teach you the best techniques in a fun ways whilst always taking care of your safety.

Don’t worry, you don’t need to have any prior experience or to be very skilled, our experienced instructors will make sure that you are safe during the activity. They will be guiding you over the rocks, you will be jumping in the sea and then swimming through gullies, in order to experience our beautiful coastline from a new perspective.

If you so wish, you can even combine our coasteering sessions with a surf lesson. Our academy organises also special events and tutorials, including sponsored days, different competitions and kids programmes.
