"I gave my boyfriend bungee jumping in the Moros River Canyon. I took two jumps, one for me and one for my boyfriend. The bridge was 45 meters high above the water and is the only legal bungee jump in Spain. I have a lot of vertigo and in the end I couldn't shoot, but my boyfriend jumped twice and had a great time. A very good deal there, they left us some canoes because we had to wait a long time until it was our turn to jump. And the instructors who were with us on the bridge were super nice, especially David. Thank you so much."

10 things to do in Castilla y León

To move through Castile and León will allow meeting a great part of Spain because you will be in the autonomous community with more territory in comparison to the whole peninsula. Much more than the extension that was during its historical past, nowadays reflected through its marvelous and great architectonical samples, from all the artistic movements. Neither its natural patrimony stays behind, with valleys and natural parks, around the hydrographic basin of Duero. With these 10 ideas, you can have a taste of each and one its nine regions.

1. Visit Salamanca University:



Within a guided tour, throughout the set of monuments of the city, that includes the Cathedral and the Dueñas convent, you will have the opportunity to stop and contemplate the façade that this great institution carries, the oldest in our country. Imagine how the life of those first students was during the XV century and don’t forget about looking for the famous frog between the thousand details that enrich its walls and exteriors.

2. Segway trip through Burgo old quarter:



Arrive at the San Pablo Espolón bridge to meet its cultures, take a selfie whilst riding the two-tire vehicles in the plaza of Cid and watch and admire the pointers of the Santa María Cathedral. You will have enough time with our guided routes for about 2 hours and a half.

3. Guided tour through León Cathedral:



Discover the motives that were declared as the first gothic monument of Spain, two centuries ago. Then, you can continue with the touristic route through the historical center, in the Guzmanes Palace or in the incomparable Roman chapel of the Kings pantheon.

4. Ride a horse in the Pisuerga riverside:



Ride through the surroundings of the Cabezón de Pisuerga, in Valladolid, to reach the Cerro of Altamira or continue to Canal de Castilla. You can do this all year long, because in each station the views will be different but, remember to return during the Summer months. You can swim in the Roman bridge of the village.

5. Gastronomy & Gymkhana in Ávila:



Check the other side of the city and best-conserved murals of the peninsula through the eyes and tastes. You will be part of a series of games throughout the streets and plazas that will end in the traditional bars, trying its wines and most representative tapas. Leave the shame at home, because you'll have to ask for clues from even your neighbors.

6. Canoeing in Hoces del Duratón:



Near the Segovian town of San Miguel de Bernuy, the rock walls that escort the channel of this river rises up. You can only access by browsing and, most peculiarly, you will find one of the largest colonies of griffon vultures on the European continent. All in calm waters that are perfect for family outings.

7. Overfly the lagoons of Villafáfila with a paramotor:



Take the most complete image of the province of Zamora walking through the skies of the natural reserve above the Salinas, Barillos and Salina Grande. Look at the multitude of birds that inhabit their wetland ecosystem, especially the bustard, and see the tops of the Sierra de la Culebra in the background.

8. Snowshoes routes in the PIcós de Urbión:



Winter is good for Soria, wearing white municipalities such as Molinos de Duero from which you can start this tour. You will feel the pride of being on an expedition through one of the highest mountain ranges in the Iberian System, but do not worry because the route will be as simple as you want.

9. Light aircraft flight in Palencia:



At the aerodrome of Herrera de Pisuerga you have an aerial trip with which, in addition to contemplating another perspective of the northwestern Castilian leonine, you will be very close to the Cantabrian and Asturian landscapes. Although from the air you do not appreciate the speed, you will be exceeding an average of 170 kilometers per hour!

10. Cross Bierzo with an electric bike:



Go and pedal from Rajas Cabins in an original fat bike that you will identify by its thick wheels. With the autonomy of 40 kilometers recharged by these bikes, you will get to see their reservoirs and the greenery of a region with a Mediterranean microclimate that hosts unique corners.
