"It is interesting to see how they inflate the balloon and hear the instructions to get into the basket and enjoy the flight. Start living the experience when the sun is already shining and see the city from above with all its nuances; the color in the landscape of all the balloons that leave at the same time and the tranquility of the flight without any surprises. We had a soft landing and we collaborated in collecting the balloon all as a team and as a reward we received a diploma and a brunch with toasts all together. Wonderful experience."

10 things to do in Segovia

The region of Segovia is the ideal destination to enjoy every type of tourism, whether you are traveling with your partner, or family or you have gathered a group of friends in search of exciting adventures. You will find all kinds in this Castilian-Leonese land!

1. Balloon Ride Over the Monumental Segovia.



What do you think about exploring Segovia’s emblematic buildings from the air? Like the Roman Aqueduct, 1800 years old, the Cathedral, Gothic style although with Renaissance influences, or the Alcazar, one of the oldest fortifications in Spain? Nothing better to finish than having a picnic lunch and also take the photos and video of the flight as a souvenir.

2. Canoeing in the Duratón River.



Las Hoces of this river is the perfect place where you can rent several canoes and carry out a beautiful route whilst watching hundreds of griffon vultures flying throughout the area. In our tour, you will pass next to the Hoz Convent and Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles one, also the San Frutos hermitage.

3. Horseback Ride in San Ildefonso Farm.



We will depart from one of the most emblematic cities of Segovia, that belongs to Real Sitio of San Ildefonso, going directly to the Pontón Alto Reservoir. We will also ride near the Cambrones River, that nourishes this swamp with its water channel. An authentic natural spectacle that will be a gift for your eyes.

4. Drive a jet ski in the Los Ángeles Reservoir.



That’s right, we can seize the excellent conditions of this swamp to enjoy a jet ski ride. We will be next to Vegas de Matute. Also, if you are coming from Madrid, you will spend approximately 40 minutes. Is a luxury to have an activity like this one in this place!

5. Bungee Jumping in Los Ángeles de San Rafael.



In this location, we will find the El Deseo bridge, a structure located at 45 meters over the Moros river. From here is from where greatly equipped with ropes and certified harnesses, you will jump to the void. Once you finish doing the pendulum, we will unhook you so a partner can pick you with a jet ski and take you up to the river shore.

6. Quad tour in Fresno del Fuente.



This location is found next to the North highway, A-1. You will drive the quad for 1 hour. We will pass through areas with not so much unevenness, reaching the the Rotura stream. Although, you will need to present your driving license to be able to do this activity.

7. Hang gliding in Arcones.



Ner the Peña Quemada peak, we will take-off with a hang glider, reaching 650 meters in height from the ground, without not so much impulse than the air currents. These are flights last from 15 minutes to half an hours and are done with a professional pilot.

8. Explore the Vaquera Cave.



Do a speleology session through the three galleries that this peak has for you. The cave is next to the Losana de Pirón and Torreiglesias and has great archeological valor because there are proof that was habited during prehistoric times.

9. Guided Route Through Segovia’s Capital.



Nothing like deeply exploring this city than by walking throughout its streets. Whilst we walk through the Plaza Mayor, next to the cathedral, the Leopoldo Moreno street, that cuts through the Postigos del Sol and the Luna, and Puerta de San Andrés, plus, other obligatory places.

10. An ultralight flight from Fuentemilanos.



Taking-off from a private airdrome of this location, we will go directly to the city of Segovia so you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic of the monuments that. maybe, you already know but, surely, have never seen this way. We will also see the nearest villages like Zamarramala or La Lastrilla, at north, San Cristóbal de Segovia, in the east, or Madrona and Hontoria at the south.
