Discover the depths of nature and travel to an ancient world because in Vertical Challenge we offer you a unique experience. We go out to do speleological itineraries that range from initiation to the most extreme.
Caving is what distinguishes us since we are the first to offer this activity in our area with qualified technicians on expeditions like these:
- Visit to the Forat de la Bou cave: perfect to start this activity with the family due to its low difficulty. We will tour it for half a day in groups of between 3 and 10 people.
- Cova del Brugal Tour: offers us a fun and easy walk at the foot of Montsec d'Àres in the surroundings of the town of Sant Esteve de la Sarga.
Caving can be practiced during any time of the year and is suitable for everyone. There are everything from easy horizontal routes to large comprehensive journeys where you will have to descend deep wells, explore galleries, large rooms, climb, crawl through narrow spaces,... Let yourself be accompanied by the best guides to the bowels of the earth.
In addition, you can also take advantage of the winter with us to go on excursions in the mountains for which we use snowshoes.
Summary Snowshoeing
Come and discover the winter landscape of this wonderful Ilerda region from our base center in La Bastida de Sort. We have designed a series of winter routes through the most beautiful corners of our natural heritage that will make you return home with a backpack full of magical experiences.
Snowshoes are the oldest known method to facilitate progression through the frozen mantle. Unlike other forms, such as ski touring, the use of snowshoes is simple and quick to learn. Thus, it quickly adapts to anyone who wants to enjoy the experience of traveling through valleys, forests and snow-covered mountains.
One of the places that become the perfect setting for the use of this material is the Bosc del Gerdar which belongs to the surroundings of the Aigüestortes National Park, coinciding with the limits of the town of Alt Àneu. If you are up for this expedition, we will follow a circular route through this thick grove of trees that is very easy for beginners. For this we plan half a day with at least 5 people and not exceeding 15 adventurers per excursion.
Summary Caving
At Vertical Challenge we specialize in offering you the best caving routes. Along with these recreational excursions into the interior of the earth, we also train you to become an autonomous speleologist through courses.
However, before moving on to this second phase, we suggest that you accompany us to inspect cavities like these:
- La Cova d'Anes: we will approach Bellver de Cerdaña for a visit of just over 350 meters with a small slope that does not exceed 10. That is why it is perfect to begin this activity in the company of minors.
- La Fou de Bor: we will find it near the town that bears its name and, although more than 4 kilometers are known about it, we will stay in an easy section at an initiation level.
- Grallera Mitjana del Correlot: it is a chasm with a more notable drop, two dozen meters, in Montsec d'Àres with beautiful rooms that we will reach following an itinerary of medium to low difficulty .
- Grallera de Boixeguer: it is one of the most complex that we face with those who visit us, in fact its Inma gallery is reserved for advanced levels due to the 70-meter well that we find there.
