Company Overview
Vaguadaventura is a refreshing option to escape the heat and boredom, especially in the warmest months of the year with proposals for the Miño River descending its rapid waters. In addition to this, we invite you to play the trendy adventure sport, paintball.
Thewater sports that we present to you are carried out along the section of the Miño River, the largest in all of Galicia, which meets the border with Portugal, in the province of Pontevedra.
We start from the Frieira reservoir and go down the river to the municipality of Arbo. The reservoir ensures sufficient flow from spring and throughout the summer to safely carry out the descents.
Try the Miño with these boats:
- Rafting: the largest of all, we take you and your group on a raft with capacity for up to 8 people.
- Kayaks: boats for 2 people, narrow and highly maneuverable.
- Hidrospeed:a lot of adrenaline on a board where you are lying down and glued to the water.
Out of the water we have paintball battles on our field in the forest. Games surrounded by evergreen and living nature with very varied games.
Summary Rafting
We can accommodate a number ranging from 6 to 8 people inside the inflatable raft.
Each raft will be directed by a monitor who will be responsible for giving instructions to each of the team members in order to maintain the boat's correct course.
This descent of the Miño does not entail too much difficulty and can be done by anyone even if they do not have experience in the matter.
Spring is the best time to come down the waters of the Miño by rafting since the abundant rainfall on these dates leads to a greater flow.
Come and discover rafting and the refreshing trips it offers us through the most famous and mighty Galician river.
Summary Kayaking
To learn the fundamentals of whitewater kayaking, we do courses with beginner, advanced and skimotage levels.
The courses last 3 half days and after them you will be able to defend yourself with total autonomy on a kayak.
We work with small groups that should not exceed 6 people, attending perfectly to all members.
In addition to the courses we do guided descents for several hours varying the sections of the river depending on the level you have in the kayak.
You can choose two-seater kayaks to be accompanied during the journey.
Summary Hydrospeed
We will give you a board on which you will lie in the water a few centimeters from the ground, while you surf the rapid areas of the river.
You will also have fins to give you momentum at the slower points of the Miño riverbed that we cross.
We will go down in small groups that will be led by a guide who will be mounted on a kayak, regulating the speed of descent.
The helmet will protect us from any crash and the neoprene will keep us dry inside, preventing us from getting too cold with the low water temperatures.
Spring is generally the best time to hydrospeed due to the greater amount of water that flows down the Miño riverbed.
Summary Paintball
We have two clearly differentiated modalities:
- Speedball: Type of paintball in which it is played very quickly on a small field.
- Paintball in the forest: Longer games in an extensive terrain of trees and bushes where strategy is less important.
Our fields can accommodate up to 20 people.
