Suraventura is a company dedicated to leisure in the natural environment, always with the utmost respect for the environment. We have extensive experience in active tourism and physical-sports activities.

The company is located in the urban area of Cañete La Real, in the province of Málaga. Our facilities are located at the al-Khalid Hostel.

We pursue new ways of playing sports and new places to have fun in the natural environment. We will provide you with the best equipment and you will work with the best professionals in modalities like these:

- Canyoning: with different descents to attend different levels such as the Río Verde ravine, in the Sierra Tejeda Natural Park, or the Sima del Diablo that we will find in the Genal Valley.

- Via ferrata: we especially like the one in Tajo de Ronda with views of the unique bridge of the city, the one in Benaoján which coincides with the school dedicated to climbing in this town and the one in Montejaque which offers us a zip line 80 meters long.

- Hiking and caving: excursions walking on the surface and interior of the earth such as routes through Pico Toorecilla with almost 2 thousand meters of altitude or El Torcal. Regarding the underground expeditions, we will access the Eccentrics cave.

Furthermore, our activities do not pose any risk and are carried out with maximum security. Also join us climbing or on mountain bikes.

We also offer special activities designed for Educational Centers. A good way to learn more about nature and enjoy it.

At Sur Aventura we know the most attractive ravines in the province of Malaga and surrounding areas. We offer you up to nine descents with different characteristics to try and repeat, discovering a new place each time. We give you information about some of them so you can start looking for a date to join us:

- Ravine Río Verde: it is a section of the river that we find in Otívar as part of the Sierra Tejada Natural Park. Its waters remain active during all seasons and we will have to overcome them using rappelling as the main technique.

- La Sima del Diablo: we will move to the Genal Valley, which you will have references to if we talk to you about Júzcar, one of the closest towns. Its rappels are also over water and have narrow and curved parts that make it worthy of its name.

- Barranco de Lentejí: it belongs to the province of Granada and is quite a challenge with an extensive and narrow route that will make us follow the river from its interior using ropes and the instructions of the instructor without which It would be dangerous to walk through it.

- Barranco de Jorox: it is in the Sierra de las Nieves and combines a short route but with a lot of action that is interesting to start in this modality.

There are many natural areas that are worth knowing both within the province of Malaga and in nearby areas. The simplest way to get to know them is by hiking, something suitable for all audiences and that you can request in a personalized way. Even so, we suggest some options in case you don't know which are the most interesting points in this area:

- El Torcal: is in Antequera and will make us walk along labyrinthine paths that are mostly composed of limestone rock, creating a unique vision over 9 kilometers and lasting 6 hours.

- La Concha: the most representative peak of Sierra Blanca. We will follow a route that begins in Juanar, used as a refuge, in an upward direction for 14 kilometers, for which we will spend an average of 7 hours.

- Pico del Cielo: it is in the Sierras de Tejeda Natural Park where we will find this point that exceeds 1500 meters. We will use the entire day for this since we can spend up to 8 hours walking, for which you must bring something to eat to make a stop and comfortable boots for walking.

- La Maroma: we will do it without leaving the Sierra de Tejeda Park but ascending up to 2 thousand meters with a distance of 16 kilometers of route that can be done with effort on the same day.

At Sur Aventura we teach you how to climb from the beginning, to do this we only need you to find a space in your schedule that matches the duration of either of these two programs:

- Climbing day: it is perfect for those who have not tried it. We can go to the El Chorro area or go to the natural walls of the Abdalajís Valley or Mijas. We will accompany you with two qualified technicians who will teach you how to use the material. Among the equipment we lend you is the helmet, climbing shoes to better support you, the harness and the carabiners that will keep you restrained. There are 8 hours for which you will have to bring something to eat and clothes that are comfortable for you.

- Initiation to climbing for 2 days: it is a course for more demanding people who seek autonomy and require more extensive training. We will stop at how you should belay your adventure buddy, rappel under different modalities and what types of knots exist and which one you should choose in each case. We will spend a full 48 hours together so you have the opportunity to delve into all of these concepts.

If you want to know the interior of the earth and you want to do it with the best professionals in Sur Aventura, we are the solution. Practice caving and explore endless tunnels and spectacular vaults. It will be an experience you will not forget with hidden landscapes that you have not encountered before.

We offer different possibilities:

- Caving-visit Cueva del Gato: it is a level 1 tour so it is suitable for people who do not have experience. We carry out this activity in the months of October to March. The duration of the excursion is 1 day.

- Caving-visit to the Sima GEC: it is a level 2 route. It is practiced in the season from February to June and from September to November.

- Hundidero-Gato Comprehensive Traverse: this level 3 route is designed for people with experience in this sport. Face the challenge. It takes place in the months of August to November.

We also teach Introduction to Caving courses throughout the year and lasting 2 days. It explains in more detail the progression techniques to advance along underground routes.

Sur Aventura has options for all types of groups to celebrate their team building day in the province of Malaga and surrounding areas. We are aware of the needs of large groups that unite people of very different types. That's why our adventures have very different difficulty level options. Some perfect ones to do together are:

- Canyoning: descending the canyoned rivers as a completely natural water park. There are some as exciting or as simple as you consider appropriate, among which are the popular Sima del Diablo or the Barranco del Río Verde. The instructor accompanies the group indicating the modes of progression necessary in each section.

- Via ferrata: on this route we move through the heights between the mountains but we have the great help provided by elements that are installed in the rock and are of artificial origin. The Tajo de Ronda ferrata or the Benaoján ferrata are some of them.

- Hiking: raised with the demand that you are expecting since we can do short excursions or expeditions to spend the whole day.

We have prepared an itinerary in which you will find beginner, intermediate and advanced routes. Choose your level:

Initiation level

• Tajo de Ronda (2 hours). A simple route perfect for beginners.

Intermediate level

• Shortcut: intermediate – 2 hours. On this route you will have fun with a 25-meter Tibetan bridge.
• Same: intermediate – 2 hours. This is an athletic route, so it will require you to be in shape.
• Benaoján: intermediate – 3 hours. Its medium level will lead you to test your skill by crossing a sensational monkey bridge.
• Gaucin Castillo: intermediate – 3 hours. Its beginning will surprise you, we begin by descending.

Advanced level

• Montejaque: advanced – 3 hours. Live the adrenaline through the 80-meter zip line that you will find on this route.
• Benaladid: advanced – 2 hours. Take your vertigo to the limit on our most vertical route.
• Benalauria: advanced – 2 hours. Perfect outing for people who love great panoramic views.
• Gaucin Hacho: advanced – 3 hours. Save your strength for last, you will have to overcome a 12 meter scale.

For all outings we recommend bringing comfortable clothing, trekking boots (if possible), food and drink for the entire day. And if you want to keep some memories, your camera.

For our part, we will provide you with the necessary material for the via ferrata: harness, helmet, carabiners, etc.). In addition, our guides will be equipped with a first aid kit at all times.
