At Equinatur we bring horses to all ages very close to Lake Banyolès in Girona.
We specialize in horseback riding from our facilities in Serinyà, in Girona. In addition, we offer you different equine modalities, always combined with routes and walks on our animals so that your learning is enjoyable:
- Classical dressage lessons that will allow you to get started in the most traditional horse riding.
- Obstacle jumping classes aimed at competition.
- Western clinics for those horsewomen and riders who wish to establish their relationship with the horse following the American style.
The routes can take you around our center or very far to places like the Costa Brava in Empúria Brava or to the Pyrenees themselves. They are divided according to the days of duration into routes from 1 day to 7 days.
Children are also another of our focuses of action through horse riding camps and holiday esplai for minors between 6 and 16 years old.
Our entire offer can be adapted and personalized according to your needs or those of your group (whether you are an association, company or school).
Summary Horseback Riding
At Equinatur you will find an authentic horse paradise just 3 km from Banyolès Lake in Girona. Equestrian sports activities for all tastes with classes to learn to master the horse and spectacular and adventurous routes through many parts of the region lasting up to 7 days.
If it is your first contact with the horse, we provide you with a progressive introduction from scratch with introductory courses for both children and adults in 10 sessions:
- Jumping initiation course: learn to reproduce this test that you have seen so many times in competition.
- Western initiation course: there are forms of dressage that have their roots in the Far West.
- Introduction to the route course: going out with horses requires knowledge that will be very useful.
- Introduction course to classical and cowboy dressage: so that you know the characteristics of each one.
With a minimum of 4 people we go out into the nature that surrounds us with an extensive typology of horseback riding routes in terms of duration and terrain through which we travel:
- 1-day routes: Banyoles Routes, Besalu Route, Esponella Route, Route to Maia de Montcal, Route to Usuall and Route to Villavenut.
- 2-day routes: Empuriabrava Route, Routes to Mas Ferrer and Route to Mas Salvanera.
- 3-day routes: Route to Cala Coixa and Route to Mas Salvanera.
- 4-day routes: Route to Beget, Empordá Route, Sant Pere Pescador Route and Trabucaires Route.
- 5-day routes: Roses Route.
- 7-day route: Route to the Pyrenees
Long coast and beaches with the Mediterranean Sea in the background, vast countryside, mountains and great peaks in the Pyrenees, are some of the settings that you can explore on horseback. You choose the adventure you want to live in the middle of nature.
You can stay during your stay with us in numerous rural houses in the area.
Summary Horse Riding Camps
At Equinatur we offer equestrian holiday camps for boys and girls between 6 and 16 years old in the idyllic setting away from the hustle and bustle of Lake Banyolès in Girona. p>
These programs are carried out in the morning with the aim of helping parents balance their family and work life. In this way we offer a healthy and fun option so that you can occupy your children's time while you work.
The students' stay can be contracted for one or several weeks. During these days we will have:
- Lessons on horse morphology and behavior.
- Basic equine care to maintain it properly.
- Classes on the equipment necessary for equestrian activity.
- Different techniques to ride and tame the horse.
- Rules for equestrian practice according to its different disciplines.
These activities take place under the supervision of specialized monitors in each of the corresponding areas.
We also adapt to groups and school visits to whom we offer outdoor training. In these cases we can take horse or cart routes through the Serinyá caves.

The horseworthy adventure was simply great. We had great horses that adapted well to us. We learned a lot, we were able to prepare and brush the horses ourselves and heat with them on the track.
