Company Overview
Aquamiño & Tamuxe Kayak is a company dedicated to adventure activities in the vicinity of the Miño River. We take advantage of the natural environment near Tuy, on the border between Galicia and Portugal, to do a varied list of activities. We welcome groups of all types and for any event.
Our aquatic activities take place along the Miño River estuary with large areas for fishing and to descend towards its mouth in A Guarda with boat rides and kayaks. We also have descents along the Tamuxe River. Routes that can even be nocturnal in the light of the moon.
With our feet on the ground we do horseback riding, hiking and mountain bike rides around the Miño and through the Monte Alaia Natural Park, the oldest natural space of this type in Galicia.
And we also offer you strong emotions with ourspeed circuit to race in fast karts.
Summary Boat Trips
Aquamiño & Tamuxe Kayak offers you the possibility of enjoying this spectacular river aboard our boat, in the company of our team of professionals, perfect experts in the geography of this area of Galicia that borders the neighboring Porgugal.
The 2 options that we propose are the following:
- Short Walk: We will leave from the San Telmo de Tui pier, enjoying a pleasant walk through the waters of this Galician river. We will be able to delight ourselves with a wonderful view of the city of Tui with the Cathedral of Santa María on top, and the different buildings that make up the historical-artistic complex of the Tudense town.
- Half-day and full-day tour: We will sail the Miño River in its final stretch in our comfortable boat, from Tui to the mouth in A Guarda, enjoying the Baixo Miño region from another point of view. Between islands and sandbanks we will discover the towns and places of great scenic beauty on both banks of the river.
Another option that we give you is to rent a zodiac. It is the best idea to start sailing and you do not need a qualification to sail with it. You can visit the most inaccessible areas of the river or visit one of its beautiful islands.
Summary Kayaking
We begin the kayak route from the San Telmo yacht club in Tuy and the Pantalán de San Miguel de Tabagón. We travel along the Miño estuary for 7 kilometers.
The descents are calm and do not have areas that are too fast or technical. The flow of the Miño ensures kayaking practically all year round.
The boat rental can be for 2 hours, half a day or the full day.
In summer with a full moon we have night routes both along the Miño River and along the Tamuxe River. They are 3 hours long.
Summary Mountain Biking
Aquamiño & Tamuxe Kayak takes you to see the surroundings of our Nautical Club in Tui and the San Miguel de Tabagón Pantalán in O Rosal. We also do routes through the Monte Aloia Natural Park, a natural reserve that is among the longest-lived in the entire Galician territory.
You can rent one of our mountain bikes for a period of:
- 2 hours
- 4 hours
- All day
The routes through Mount Aloia are demanding since they travel along mountain paths that never stop ascending through the forests. To findmore bearable itineraries you can take routes along the banks of the Miño Riverthat marks the border with Portugal until its mouth in A Guarda.
We give you all the information about the routes with a track that you can download to the GPS that we will give you. You will also have a helmet to protect yourself and assistance during the route.
