The River Ure is one of Yorkshire’s finest, lined with green banks and home to waterbirds, small mammals and invertebrates. We can take you on a paddleboarding adventure going with the flow from Ripon to Boroughbridge.
We are based in Boroughbridge so we usually meet here, get the equipment ready then drive to Ripon. Here, we go through a safety briefing then launch onto the Ripon Canal. This takes us out into the countryside where we join the river.
It’s a 5-hour paddle back to Boroughbridge. With the preparation and journey to Ripon, it’s going to be more like 6, so put aside a full day for the activity and pack a picnic to enjoy at the halfway point.
We will provide all the paddleboarding gear as well as safety equipment that will help keep you warm on the board and afloat if you fall. We also have dry bags which you can use to store your valuables. You will be accompanied by one of our highly prepared instructors from start to finish.
You can share this paddleboarding adventure with people you love as a group of 4 to 20 people. You don’t need to be a SUP expert but consider having a shorter session first if you’ve never tried this sport before.
