Well they can, and we can show you how to do it. All you need is a stand-up paddleboard, or SUP, and the right technique - one of our SUP introductory lessons, in other words.
Our lessons start in a garden on the banks of the River Wensum in Norwich. We’ll introduce you to the equipment, brief you on safety procedures, and get going on the water as soon as possible. You might start out paddling on your knees, but we aim to help you stand up before the end of the 1.5-hour session.
Anyone over the age of six is welcome. The lesson is designed for beginners and people who have tried SUP before but haven’t got the hang of it. We’ve been doing this for years so we know how to help you nail it.
You don’t need your own equipment, because we supply high-quality inflatable paddleboards, paddles and lifejackets. We don’t class this as an extreme water sport, but you should be prepared to get wet!
