As you hack through the countryside on horseback! We’d love for you to join us on a ride through the Worstead Estate in North Norfolk. There are woods and fields, lakes and meadows to enjoy on this ride.

You’ll be guided around the estate by an experienced guide. They can tailor the route to your preferences and make this 1.5 hour hack into an experience that pushes all the right buttons.

Most of our hacking routes are for riders with some experience in the saddle, but don’t hesitate to join us even if it’s your first time riding. We can take anyone over the age of eight and under 80 kilograms, or 127 stone, in weight.

We ask that you wear long trousers and boots with a small heel. It doesn’t have to be a specific riding boot, but we recommend avoiding anything bulky that could get stuck in the stirrup. Riding hats must be worn. If you don’t have your own, you can rent one for a small fee.

We’ve been riding in the North Norfolk countryside for years now and we want you to see it through our eyes. Then you’ll understand why we wouldn’t rather live anywhere else!

Our knowledge of the local area means we can take you hacking on rewarding routes, mainly through the Worstead Estate near North Walsham. On a two-hour hack, we’ll ride through woodland, rest by still waters and get some lungfuls of good countryside air.

Our knowledge and expertise also means that we can take beginners on horseback rides and children over the age of eight. Some of our routes are only suitable for experienced riders, so let us know your background before the ride.

We need to know your height and weight too before the ride in order to match you up with the horse that suits you best. The maximum weight is 80 kilograms, or 12.7 stone. Please wear a boot with a low heel, though nothing heavy like a walking boot, and long trousers. You’ll need to wear a riding hat, which you can rent from us if you don’t have one.

A 2.5-hour hack in the saddle of one of our gentle horses is the perfect way to clear your head. Whether you’re a novice looking for a slow-paced walk or an experienced rider who wants to feel some excitement, we can plan an outing for you.

At our riding centre, we have horses of different sizes and temperaments that can accommodate riders of different kinds. The minimum age is eight and the maximum weight is 80 kilograms, which is 12.7 stone.

Every rider needs a pair of low-heeled boots (walking boots and similar styles should be avoided), long trousers and a riding hat. If you don’t have your own hat, we can offer them for hire for a small fee.

We go hacking on the Worstead Estate, a large countryside estate next door to our farm in rural North Norfolk. There are woods and meadows, lakes and cultivated fields. You’ll see a lot of it in two and half hours, but there’s always more to explore!
