If you want to do trekking in thePicos de Europa National Park, we propose this 5-day march that takes you along a path with a lot of history. And the Reconquista Route GR-202 is the route that the Muslim troops had to take after being expelled from Covadonga during the reconquest by the troops of Pelayo.
The route will have a horizontal distance of 69 kilometers with slopes of 4,570 meters up and 3,580 downhill. So it is an important journey that you will do accompanied by a qualified guide and in different stages spread over the five days.
The 4 nights will be in different shelters, hostels and hostels, where you will have breakfast and dinner included on a half board
basis.
The meeting point will be the Basilica of Covadonga to pass through places as mythical and beautiful as the Lakes of Covadonga, Poncebos, Sotres, Bulnes, the Cares route, Lake Ercina, Picu Urriellu or the ports of Ávila.
The experience will end in the town of Cosgaya, already in Cantabrian territory. Without a doubt, we will spend a few days full of emotions, where you will have to bring out your mountaineering spirit to overcome this challenge that will leave you totally renewed.
