Circular Trekking of the Posets Pyrenees 5 days

If you enjoy heights and hiking, spending five days in the Aragonese Pyrenees is the plan to disconnect you are looking for.

The itinerary that we have planned consists of surrounding the Benasque Valley, in which the second most important peak in the entire Pyrenees stands out: Pico Posets, which with its 3,375 meters high, offers a steep climb, but with accessible terrain and without major obstacles.

With the designed program, we intend to contemplate the peak from a complete 360º panoramic view, passing through the different shelters that we will find. Thus, each day will be different from the previous one:

We will depart from Benasque at 2 in the afternoon, heading to the Ángel Orús Refuge. To do this, we travel by car to the Espiganotsa waterfall. There, we will leave the car, to start trekking and reach our shelter and spend the first night.

On the second day, our destination will be the Biadós Refuge, which we will reach after a more intense ascent. We dedicated this second day to climbing Posets or Llordana, thus overcoming a difference in altitude of about 1,400 meters. After climbing to the top, we descend until we reach Collado de Eriste, from where we will reach the refuge.

On the third day, we headed to the Port of Chistau, from where we went down to the Estós Refuge, continuing the GR-11.

The penultimate day was dedicated to completing this circular circuit, returning to our starting point, the Ángel Orús Refuge, for which we crossed the La Paúl Ravine and reached its hill. Three this, we arrive at our shelter.

Having reached the end of this fascinating adventure, we head towards the Espiganotsa Bridge, where we say goodbye to the mountain experience.
