Where to do canyoning in Ariège?

• The Argensou Canyon will offer you great feelings and a complete discovery of the landscapes. In the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees, this Occitan cliff will allow you to feel strong feelings and discover the canyoning in its purest essence.

Known for being a familiar canyon, it will invite you to a crazy descent strewn with obstacles.

With a shallow depth, it offers a variety of obstacles quite easy to overcome and pools that also allow children to enjoy this tour. This cliff is located in Auzat, is very easy to reach and offers you something more than half a mile of descent.

• The canyon of Artigue, located in the town of Auzat in Ariège, will make you enjoy a descent of ravines in stunning turquoise waters. With a maximum depth of 19 meters, you will have the opportunity to discover canyoning in an idyllic setting. Includes slides, jumps, zip lines and amazing stunts. Considered one of the most beautiful cliffs in the Pyrenees, it is accessed after an approximate walk of about 45 minutes regardless of the starting point. The canyoning descents of the the Artigue canyon are quite long, about 3 hours to have fun in 1,400 meters long. What are the different levels?

You have the option of performing different levels of canyoning in Ariège: discovery, initiation, improvement, sports and technical descents or even for experts. Depending on the descent chosen, you won’t make the same route, the descent time will not be the same and the obstacles present in your path will be very different.

The canyons don’t offer the same feelings and are not always accessible to everyone. Your experience and age will be taken into account to make this choice because you must be comfortable during the descent. Also, your experience. Some canyoning descents are quite sporty and not suitable for everyone.

If you are inexperienced, we recommend that you choose an accessible cliff that does not contain a very large obstacle. How long the activity last?

You can do canyoning in Ariège full day or half day, if the ravine is long or if it is sporty, as there is for that of Artigue or that of Subra. Otherwise, you can do these descents in half a day.
