Tips if you are going to do Hot Air Balloon Rides in United Kingdom

Flying in a hot air balloon is not only an unforgettable moment, but it allows you to experience something most people only dream of. Seeing the world from above the clouds is one of the most beautiful journeys one can take – you get to view life from a different perspective, and not only does it broaden your viewpoint physically, but can change your outlook mentally as well. There’s really nothing like the serenity and tranquillity of watching the vast landscapes and beautiful horizons of the UK from above. Here are our top 5 reasons why you should go ballooning in the UK!

1. Unforgettable views

Have you ever been watching the birds flying freely above, and wondered, what life must be like from up there? Well, flying in a hot air balloon will give you just that. When you’re hundreds of feet up in the sky, level with the clouds and peering down below, the world is a completely different place. Everything hits different. Getting up close and personal with the sunset, seeing the clouds from above, watching the ever-changing landscapes below, you truly learn to appreciate nature’s beauty. Unforgettable views make for unforgettable memories – especially if you’re surrounded by those you love.

2. Fresh air

The fresh air will hit different whilst you’re up in a balloon. You’re exposed to a higher quality of air than you’re likely ever to experience on the ground – which harbours multiple health benefits. You’ll feel more energetic, your body will produce a higher level of serotonin so you’ll feel happier, and your overall wellbeing will just improve in all senses. Even if just for a moment, going up in a hot air balloon will make you feel amazing in more ways than one.

3. Perfect for celebrations or as a gift

As it’s such a unique experience, it’s always better to share the moment with your nearest and dearest. Such a special event calls for a birthday, a romantic date, an evening with the family or even a proposal! Sweep your guests off their feet and take them (and their expectations) up into the sky. It’s perfect for just escaping and forgetting about modern life – but be warned, once you’re up there you might not want to come down!

4. Experience the feeling of floating

From the feeling of lift off to the feeling of floating amongst the clouds, there is literally nothing that compares to the feeling that flying in a hot air balloon can give you. When you’re first lifting off, slowly getting higher and higher, the tension and adrenaline builds up inside you – kind of like going up in a roller coaster – and the anticipation for the trip brings a feeling of complete excitement. Then, once you’re finally up in the clouds, you’ll be one with the wind and sky. Take a deep breath and cherish this moment, because it really is as good as it gets – you’ll be completely overcome with the feeling of peace. There’s no better way to relax.

5. Overcome your fear of heights

If you’re one of those who have vertigo or a fear of heights and think you will never be able to experience this – think again. Flying in a hot air balloon is one of the best ways to help overcome your fear and deal with the situation. Whilst you might feel anxious on lift off, as we mentioned before, you’ll soon become enveloped with the feeling of peace. Once you become comfortable up in a balloon, what’s stopping you from not feeling like that up there again? The idyllic views will make you forget everything else.

When should I do a hot air balloon tour in the UK?

For the best experience possible, we would suggest that you take off between April and October – as the best conditions for flying in a hot air balloon consist of blue skies, light winds and little or no rain. Furthermore, to really make it something special, we’ll give you an insider tip: go and fly in the early morning. The weather conditions are the most stable and watching the sunrise from amongst the clouds is absolutely unparalleled in its beauty. It truly makes for a spectacular view.
