Being clear that it's a combination of wake and snow, this sport uses a snowboard where the key difference is the addition of a tow rope (cable-ski), enabling the rider to perform the most spectacular moves from both disciplines: full speed, jumps, spins, acrobatics... even staying parallel to the ground mid-air!

Say goodbye to being anchored to the ground, leave behind simply sliding on snow - since last winter with snowtowing you can fly!
This sport had its world debut at Astún resort in Valle del Aragón in February 2011. To pop the champagne and inaugurate this extreme sport, it was Israel Planas, two-time Spanish wakeboard champion, who did the honours.
And history has thanked him for it.

On 26th and 27th January at La Molina ski resort, the 1st VODAFONE Spanish Snow Towing Championship took place, and it was precisely the Catalan athlete who was crowned Snow Towing World Champion.
Congratulations Israel, you're amazing!
