Glamping il Sole

Glamping il Sole is an 85-hectare farm in La Patassa in Civitella Paganico, in the province of Grosseto. We are Stefano and Eleonora and alongside the work in the fields we have built with our own hands six accommodations to sleep in the countryside of the Tuscan Maremma, open all year round and designed especially for couples.

The Hobbit House is carved into the hill like Bilbo Baggins' house and the tree house rests on an oak tree 8 meters above the ground. The Panoramica village and the geodesic dome with almost all glass walls complete the village, together with the tepee and Hagrid's House. Each accommodation has a private internal bathroom, its own reserved hot tub and a bivouac corner. The buffet breakfast is served in the yurt which also acts as reception.

The farm really works: tractors and agricultural tools move every day between the vegetable garden, the orchard and our livestock. For this reason, the areas outside the glamping are signposted and prohibited, and you will move along the routes that we will indicate to you at check-in. The breakfast jams and the 0 km ingredients for the dinner come from the vegetable garden and the orchard. Dinner can be booked in the dining room or in the accommodation and, from April to mid-October, also in a bivouac under the stars when the weather permits.

Upon reservation, we also organize a hot bath in the larch hot tub, an aperitif, massages with a qualified holistic operator and e-bike rental. Then there is the guided off-road tour on Monte Amiata, the extinct volcano of the Maremma, which also passes through the medieval village of Santa Fiora. All these services are paid separately directly at the facility.

You will find us a few minutes from the highway between Grosseto and Siena, taking the Civitella Marittima exit and not the Paganico one. From Grosseto it is about 24 kilometers and from Siena about forty. The last kilometer is a dirt road and ends in the square with free parking, while public transport does not reach us. In the surrounding area you can visit the Terme di Petriolo, Montalcino, the Abbey of San Galgano and Monteriggioni. Pets are not allowed.

Those who have stayed with us above all talk about the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the accommodation, the sunsets over the hills and a sky so dark that they can recognize almost all the constellations.
