Night in the Hobbit House for two and 4x4 tour on Mount Amiata

If for an anniversary you want to give something that lasts more than one night, this formula combines the Hobbit House in Civitella Paganico with a day off-road on Monte Amiata, the extinct volcano in the Maremma. For two people it includes accommodation with breakfast and a guided 4x4 tour, which lasts approximately four and a half hours.

We start from glamping mid-morning on an off-road vehicle modified to tackle difficult roads away from asphalt. We will climb through chestnut and beech woods to the top, where a platter of typical products will be waiting for you in a hut. Then we will go down to visit Santa Fiora, a medieval village with its historic Peschiera, and return to the glamping in the afternoon. Those who have already done it tell of a patient and kind guide, who on the mountain seems like an encyclopedia.

The tour can be done at two different times. On the day of check-in you will leave with us in the morning and on your return we will deliver the Hobbit House to you for the evening. Otherwise you will arrive in the afternoon, sleep and climb Mount Amiata the next day, as soon as you finish breakfast.

All you need to know about the house is that it is carved into the hill like Bilbo Baggins', with the round door and the electric fireplace, and that the buffet breakfast is served in the reception yurt.

Dinner, aperitif and hot tub are not included and can be booked and paid for directly by us. It is best to choose the day of the tour when you set the date of your stay, and in any case by the day before your arrival.
