Into the WIld run a lot of activities from fishing having made your own hooks and line, possibly your own boat if you want!
Hikes where the aim is to learn about the nature that is around you..
Into the Wild also do many activities in the woods that are both interesting and different.Into the Wild want to introduce you to the wonders of the Lake District through some different, interesting and new (or in most cases very old) skills. You will come on one of our activity days and take away some happy memories and some valuable techniques that you can continue to use at home and beyond.
Almost all of our activities are practised ‘in the wild’, thereby further emphasising how easy these skills can be transferred back to your life at home. It you can make bread, cheese or beer in the woods, surely it will be a lot easier in your kitchen!
Summary Canoeing
If you have ever felt the need to ‘run away from it all’ and just get back to nature, Into the Wild is the perfect company to help you do this. Into the Wild will be running bushcraft and canoeing expeditions around the lake district, and for the more adventurous, Into the Wild with be doing trips up to Scotland.
These trips with Into the Wild will be using the canadian canoe as a means of transport and involve 'voyaging' between camps learning new skills and having new experiences along the way. These are self supported expeditions ranging from 1 to 5 days - by the end of the trips people will feel both confident in the boat but equally out of it in the woods!

Summary Fishing
Into the Wild run alot of activities in order to help you become more self sufficient and rediscover your connection with nature. One of the courses involves learning how to fish having made your own hooks and line, and possibly your own boat if you want!
As part of Into the Wilds three day Bushcraft course you will :
- Make Cordage for a fishing line
- Make a natural fish hook
- Make a raft
and then the challenge is then see if you can try to catch a fish with the hook, raft and cordage that you made yourself!
It´s not an easy challenge, but there is always someone who is successful and then you will learn how to prepare the fish for cooking over a fire.

Summary Hiking
Into the Wild has guided walks which are chosen for their interest as for their beauty. Into the Wild runs hikes where there is information on bushcraft, natural history, history and archaeology where appropriate. They are not your normal hiking trips! There are many secrets that the land holds which are there to be discovered by you!
- Half day walk: A great way for you to see the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, as well as all the lakes and other interesting points in the area, with an experienced guide to inform you of all the local knowledge.
- Full day walk: Combines not only the things that you do on the half day walk, but also an afternoon activity in order to develop a new skill. We provide a home cooked and hearty lunch so see you through the rest of the day.
