Going down a river in canoes is a very pleasant activity that puts people in direct contact with nature. Deltaventur recommends this form of navigation for groups of friends and, above all, work groups, since one One of the values that is most encouraged in this activity is teamwork.

The canoes have a maximum capacity of 6 people, with cargo included.

The main difference with the Kayak is that with canoes paddling seems much easier because you are comfortably seated. It is recommended that at least two adults go on each boat for safety if there are also children.

Deltaventur will be in charge of designing the route and putting at your disposal an instructor experienced in canoe descents to teach you the basics. He will be in charge of guiding you down the Ebro riverbed. Some of the destinations that you can decide within the section in which we operate is the area of Matarranya, the area of Lo Pas de l'Ase or the one that reaches La Cubeta delay. Each one has a different duration and characteristics.

At Deltaventur we concentrate the greatest variety of kayak routes in the Ebro Delta area. This last stretch of the river that extends to the sea offers us multiple possibilities aboard these simple boats. Some of them are:

- Buda Island Trip: we will sail towards Migjorn seeing how nature surrounds us in a setting in which tranquility predominates along banks of lush vegetation.

- Descent between Miravet and Benifallet: a particularly beautiful itinerary that begins at the pier that corresponds to Miravet Castle and continues to the destination point that we have indicated.

- Islands of Sapinya and Gràcia: they are just over 12 kilometers that take around 2 and a half hours to complete, starting in Amposta and ending in Sant Jaume d'Enveja.

- Los Garxals: on this descending walk we will do a short but intense circuit at the mouth of the river. This means arriving at the place where the sea and fresh water meet, so we may be surprised by more or less strong waves depending on the day we have chosen for the activity.

Deltaventur Canyoning manages routes through the canyons eroded by the Ebro basin, in the province of Tarragona.

In this area of the coast, the rock formations formed allow the practice of canyoning at a level suitable for all ages and audiences.

The Barranco de Canaletas stands out for being very affordable for anyone who wants to have a first contact with the world of canyoning. Furthermore, its privileged geographical location in the heart of Els Ports Natural Park, border between Aragon and Catalonia, provides it with the benefits of both communities.

The descent usually lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, but everything will depend on the pace taken during the activity. The maximum difference in altitude that we find is 60 meters.

The departures take place from our base in Amposta, a place from where the groups will leave with our vehicles to the exit point of the ravine. We also give the possibility to whoever wishes to meet us at Horta de Sant Joan and start the activity together there.

To carry out canyoning it is very convenient that you know how to swim. In addition, it will be necessary for each member to bring a swimsuit, towel and spare clothing. We will provide the rest of the material to you.

Reservations must be made 72 hours in advance since permits will have to be requested from the relevant authority of the natural park to practice canyoning.
