10 things to do in Pontevedra

This region of Rías Baixas has everything that anyone could ever desire to enjoy in the holidays. You have the forest, the sea, luxurious gastronomy and all type of activities to carry out everything, for all type of audiences. 1. Wine tasting in Salnés valley.



Show your tasting buds how to savor and choose the best wines from this land, in this case, the Albariño. Discover everything that the process of elaboration of this delicious wine hides, by visiting one its wineries with more movement in this zone, located between Castrove and Xiabre, to then enjoy a nice tasting of different Albariños with your partner or a group of friends.

2. Salvaterra de Miño by a horse.



Following the Tea River whilst riding a horse, you will enjoy, in groups, the rich Galician fauna, and flora in a perfect route for any equestrian skill level. The eucalyptus woodlands, the greenery that looks like has no end, the jumps into the river through which you will need to cross… Everything with will give you a combination of sensations that will make you have a great time in the surroundings of Vigo.

3. Hiking route in the Arosa island.



For several hours, cross the incredible natural paradise that this formation presents, whilst enjoying a route called “Pedra e Auga”. When walking through the surroundings of the Armenteira river, that at the same time gives the same name to the impressive monastery that you can’t miss. In the municipalities of Ribadumia and Meis, you will enjoy the most characteristic natural sights and curiosities of the old Galician villages.

5. From Caldelas to Tui with a kayak.

7. Meet the Cíes islands from a sailboat.



Cross the three islands that from this spectacular archipelago of white sand and turquoise waters at the north of the Peninsula, in Vigo, whilst boarding a comfortable sailboat in which you will go accompanied by friends or family members. This is a unique trip since the Cíes islands have a multitude of lighthouses, paradisiacal beaches and even, if you are lucky, you can spot a cetacean next to the boat. Can you ask for more?

8. Canoe-kayak in Baiona.



Rent a canoe and cross the surroundings of the Ladeira beach, the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sea and this city full of nautical culture.
