Are you looking to practice fly or bait fishing on a loch or river? Welcome to Rothiemurchus Fishing! We offer something for everyone.

We cater for all interests and levels of experience. Our spectacular surroundings provide stunning views of the Cairngorm Mountains, which add to the tranquillity of your fishing experience.

You can expect to catch:

• Brown trout
• Pike

Your catch will depend on where you are fishing as we offer fishing experiences on the River Spey or boat fishing trips on the surrounding lochs.

Our fishing instructors will provide expert tuition on the day and we also have a fantastic tackle shop, which is stocked with bait and equipment for hire and sale.

Canoeing is lots of fun and easy to pick up. At Rothiemurchus Canoeing you will have a fantastic time and we adapt our sessions to suit your personal ability.

Fulfil you water-fuelled desires at our centre and if you have no previous experience, don´t panic. Our professional canoeing instructors will show you the ropes in no time.

The canoes are light and very stable, which reduces the risk of capsizing. One of our standard canoes carries 2 adults or 2 adults with 2 small children.

We practice flat water canoeing on Loch an Eilein; it is a truly magical place right in the heart of the ancient Rothiemurchus Pine Forest. You will learn in a relaxing environment, whilst exploring some wonderful scenery.

Our instructors have a wealth of knowledge to share with you that doesn´t just concern canoeing. You will see local wildlife, paddle around ruined castles as well as hear tales of ancient plots in the surrounding area.

Enjoy canyoning at Rothiemurchus Canyoning! Try something completely different.

It basically involves jumping into a Highland stream and following the stream as it cascades down rocky slabs, over small waterfalls and through deep pools of water.

Canyoning can be enjoyed by everyone as we adapt the route to suit your ability. If at any point you feel like you´ve had enough, you can simply walk up the side of the burn and watch the excitement from the sidelines.

We recommend that you wear old, warm clothes as they will get wet! We provide a helmet, buoyancy aid and waterproof jacket on the day.

Enjoy quad bike trekking with Rothiemurchus Quads! Experience a thrilling quad bike adventure along a network of tracks and trails around our centre. We will take you through:

• Caledonian Pine Woodland
• Heather Moorland
• Shallow stretches of the River Druie

You may be lucky enough to catch sight of our herd of long horned Highland cattle on your journey including deer and other wildlife. Our expert driving instructors will be happy to share their local knowledge with you.

We will stop at various points so that you can have a moment to take in your surroundings.

Our treks last approximately 1 hour, which includes a very informative safety briefing. We provide protective headgear, eyewear, gloves and wellington boots on the day. All you need to do is show-up!

Enjoy hill walking with Rothiemurchus Hiking! The fresh air and stunning scenery will leave you breathless.

We believe low ground walking is the best way to see and explore our grounds. If you would prefer something more adventurous, we also have guided hill walking excursions. You will be led by an experienced instructor.

Spend a beautiful day experiencing the wildlife and geology of the Cairngorms National Park. We will organise the day around your interests and capabilities.

Previous hiking experience is recommended but not essential. All you will need are walking boots, appropriate clothing and a packed lunch.

Welcome to Rothiemurchus Horse Riding! We are a family run centre in Scotland and we specialise in great hacking and trekking in a spectacular environment.

Riding with us is a special experience and our friendly and professional instructors make it extra special. The varied landscape offers hill, moorland, river and pine forest riding. Apart from the ride, you will possibly catch a glimpse of local wildlife and the tranquillity of your surroundings will relax you.

The emphasis is on quality; we have comfy saddles and well-schooled horses. Furthermore, we have various horses allowing us to accommodate most riders.

We work with Extreme Dream as they have the most diverse range of climbing surfaces in the U.K.

Welcome to Rothiemurchus Mountain Biking! We have 3 fantastic mountain bike trails that start from our centre.

What´s more, we have our very own biking map that have been recently published. It details our biking routes in great detail and the circular routes are suitable for all the family.

The mountain views make our mountain bike adventures truly unique.

Our maps have been thoughtfully put together with annotated notes identifying special places such as:

• Ancient battle sites
• Flora & fauna
• Place name translations

We provide the bike, helmet, repair kit and route advice. All you will need is suitable clothing and lots of energy!

Rothiemurchus Clay Pigeon Shooting is an established shooting school with more than 20 years experience.

Our exceptional facilities are first class and we will ensure that you have a sensational time. The sheer thrill of shooting clay targets is unique and our traps offer a variety of moving targets such as:

• High pheasant tower
• Bolting rabbit
• Driven grouse
• Springing teal

Our shooting instructors provide one-to-one tuition giving you the confidence to enjoy the sport to the best of your ability. Light weight guns and low recoil cartridges are also available for children so the whole family can take part.
