Glenmore Lodge Climbing is a specialist rock climbing provider in Aviemore.

There are plenty of rock climbing opportunities in Scotland. We offer multi-pitch routes in dramatic settings that provide some of the best possible views. We also offer rock climbing on various crags that are quiet and unspoilt, enabling you to perfect your technique without distractions.

• Learn to Canyon – Over two days, you will learn how to do lower grade canyons on your own, learn some basic skills and learn how to make decisions safely.
• Technical Canyoning – For people who have done the course above, or would like to combine them this improves your skills and allows you to confidently do harder canyons by yourself.
• Single Pitch Canyon Guide – A great course for people that want to make a career out of leading people in canyons, over two days, you will learn how to guide a group safely and confidently.
• Professional Canyoning – This qualification is aimed at people who want to lead groups in any kind of canyoning situation, both in the United Kingdom and Overseas. Over five days you will learn all that you need in order to be a successful guide.

If you would like to learn how to canoe, improve your skills or give yourself a challenge, there are many things that you can do with Glenmore Lodge. 

• Basic Skills – A great activity for families or a group of friends, have fun and learn all about a new sport at the same time!
• Intro to Canoeing – Learn the essential skills that you need in order to be able to have a good day.
• Intermediate Canoeing -  Build on your skills and learn how to prepare for a da y of canoeing correctly.
• Advanced Canoeing – Challenge yourself on grade 3 rivers and do both solo and tandem paddling.
• Journeying Skills – Learn how to prepare properly for an expedition, as well as go on a short 2 day journey to test your skills.
• Canoe Expeditions – Go on a grand tour of some of the best rivers in the highlands, travel to Spey Descent, do the Great Glen Crossing or take a 5 day journey with some climbing mixed in, you will be able to give yourself the trip of a lifetime.

Hiking at Glenmore Lodge is a great activity, and you can develop great skills for any time of the year. This great company runs courses for both winter walking and the skills that it requires, as well as summer courses that can help you to improve or enhance your hiking experiences. Learn how to scramble, navigate and self rescue 

You are also able to learn about environmental awareness, in order to preserve the great area that you are walking in. You are also able to book an expedition in order to attempt the Cullin Traverse.  In the winter, you can learn things like winter walking, and avalanche and navigation safety skills.
