We have prepared for you a nice and calming trekking and trail riding session for 1 hour taking our mountain horses, one of the most calming and beautiful creatures that exist. They will take you from the skirt of the stunning Sottish Highland to the first level of the mountain.
You will enjoy the forest zone, where you can see moss, hens, ducks swimming in beautiful lakes and wide yards from where you behold the height of the hills that, usually, are covered with snow and, in sunny days, remind you of Cézanne's painting Mont Sainte-Victoire seen from Bellevue.
The activity is thought for everyone who is, at least, 4 years old and it's perfectly designed for you alone or for groups (14 is the maximum number of people recommended).
Although this riding is suitable for beginners (as we said, our horses are the most loving animals on Earth!), we do have to pay attention to some details, like weight (88 kg is the weight limit). Apart from that, we also say to our visitors to bring warm clothes, raining pieces of clothing and boots in order to have no outfit problem while riding. The rest is on us: from horses, of course, to saddles! Oh, and don't worry if it takes you long for arriving, it is worth the visit!

You can also see some extraordinary butterflies. We have a great diversity of these creatures around and it's surprising watching them fly over the snow and through the fog!
In addition, you don't have to worry about anything because Iain Pocock, owner of the company, will be here for you and will provide all the tools that you'll need: nice bridles to easily manage the horse, helmets... However, we highly encourage you to bring cosy and warm coats as well as high boots if possible.
Any additional detail that you need to know before booking the activity? Well, you have to have some patience to get here, to Cougie. It may take a while, but you will definitely enjoy the ride. That and that weight limit, for safety reasons related to pressure and other conditions, is 88 kg.

Are age, horse-riding experience, equipment or any other issue a problem? No, we think everyone can enjoy our trekking and trail riding despite age (although we have pointed 4 as the minimum age required to join us), despite your experience (it doesn't matter if you are a beginner in these kinds of activities), despite you don't own helmets or horse-riding tools (they are all included, but we recommend you to dress warmly and to come wearing comfortable footwear) and despite anything else. The only "but" is that you have to weigh 88 kilograms or less to follow trail horsing rules.

Would you like to know more? Wished granted! This is a 6-hours adventure from the bottom of the mountain in Inverness (Scotland) to its very top!
Groups are welcome as long as you are 14 people or you can come on your own and you may be of different ages too (up from 4 years old!). Our horses are the most patient animals and they love being around people, so they are perfect for you if you are a beginner in trail riding.
Apart from this, flowers will welcome you at the top (purple shining over green), a thick cloak of clouds too and a great view that we bet it will leave you speechless.
Are you ready to behold beautiful birds welcoming you there? Their colourful feathers are precious and it's incredible how nature works: at the very top of an isolated place like ours, you can find beauty with no limits and, because white is usually our background because of the snow, orange, yellow or black birds' features shine even brighter.
We know that 6-hours trail riding may sound exhausting and we're not going to lie: it actually is! However, the experience that you will live will change the way you feel and connect with nature. We live in a world where we don't usually stop to appreciate beauty. That's exactly what we offer here in Cougie: time for feeling, seeing, touching and listening to nature through the connection that you will establish with your horse.
