It will be a simple route. You will begin walking along the Puxaero Hill; a place where you can see the town and the spectacular reservoir from above. Little by little you will move away and enter the idyllic blankets of white snow that cover the mountains. Along the 3-hour route you will see the Casares Reservoir surrounded by its imposing mountains and you will even be able to see the incredible Picos de Europa in the distance .
The Arbas Valley is a wide and impressive valley in the heart of the Alto Bernesga Biosphere Reserve. It has great beauty and a wide diversity of flora and fauna, so this snowshoe route will make you fully enjoy an experience full of nature. You will walk over the hidden corners of the León mountains and you will be able to rest, enjoying the views and spending a relaxing moment in the snow.
To carry out the activity you must be over 18 years old but it is not necessary to have previous experience in this type of activity. Remember that it is important to come prepared for the route so you should not forget your gloves, mountain shoes, warm clothing, snacks, water and sun protection.
