Our all-time favorite watersport to teach is by far is stand-up paddleboard. Is that there is something about this sport that just makes it so fun and calming simultaneously.
In this course, we will go over everything you need to know about this sport. For example, you will learn the basic paddling techniques and how to move your body accordingly to make a turn. Also, we will go over a safety briefing. We will also teach you how to read the waters where you paddleboard; you will learn everything about the currents, tides, and weather.

Hove Lagoon located in the beautiful city of Brighton, Sussex, offers the perfect location to learn to Stand up Paddleboard ( SUP ). The calm, flat, shallow water is ideal for beginners with the challenges of the sea within easy reach.
SUPing uses a big board that you stand on with a paddle to propel yourself. It is a very versatile and enjoyable sport that enables you to savor being on the water in many different ways. SUPing is a great way to enjoy being on the water with other people of all ages, particularly as the basic skills are relatively easy to grasp with the proper guidance.
As you become more confident, a whole world of paddling opens up, including the coastal, lake, and river touring, racing, and even SUP surfing.
We are going to learn several things over the lessons. One of the things we are going to learn in this 4-day course is learning how to kneel and stand up on the board. We will also cover all the basic safety measurements we must take when practicing this sport. We will teach you the basic turns and paddling techniques. And so many more things that you will discover about paddleboarding.
This course is aimed at complete beginners or those with a bit of experience. We train everyone from kids to grandparents. We have space for everyone on the beaches of Brighton. If you are not a swimmer, please let us know in advance.
All you need to bring is an old pair of shoes you don’t mind getting wet, towel and swim wear. We sell neoprene shoes in the office. Wetsuit, buoyancy aid and SUP equipment hire are included.
