Horse Walkout (1hr) in Ashdown Forest

Are you interested in getting to a taster into the wonderful world of horseback riding? Our hour long walkout would be the perfect option for you! 

We'll head out the stables and down the path lined with tall trees the horses love to have a nibble on! We'll pass by rivers which provide the perfect photo opportunity and a chance for the horses to cool off in the crisp water. The forest is truly beautiful and is adorned with gorgeous plants and flowers which we can tell you interesting fact about along the way!

The best part is you can count on being able to enjoy your walk completely uninterrupted as vehicles can't pass through and cause disruption. 

The walkout will start off the horse where your instructor will gauge your basic knowledge and guide you through some health and safety information, show you how all of the equipment works and demonstrate how to safely get on and off the horse. 

Once that is completed It will be time for you to get saddled into the horse and your walkout will commence.

Please note we can only accept riders who are under 85kg in weight and are under 6ft. They must be older than five years old and our limit is six people per group.

Are you interested in coming down to the majestic Ashdown Forest to ride some of our beautiful horses through the tree led paths? 

We are the perfect place for you! Our stables are built within 6500 acres worth of completely uncoomprimosed land where our horses can roam free. It's lined with naturally occurring lakes for them to bathe in and tall trees perfect for taking shelter from the scorching summer sun. 

When you arrive our team of fully qualified instructors will welcome you and introduce you to our horses while giving you a tour of our stables. Our instructors have years worth of riding experience under their belt so you can be assured you'll be in safe hands whether you've never been on a horse before or you're an experienced rider.

They will then help you get strapped into your riding kit and assure everything is fastened properly and get you up in the saddle. If it's your first time they will give you a demonstration and can even provide a stool to help you. 

They will give you a quick explanation on how on how to make the horse start and stop before embarking on your walk!

While out, our instructors will be sure to take lots of photos of you on the horse so you have the memories to look back on in the future!

You must be under 6ft in height and 85kg in weight, and be at least 5 years old to participate. The maximum number we can have per group is 6 people.

Are you passionate about horses and want the chance to take one out on a beautiful countryside walk? 

Well here at Ashdown Forest we have a stable full of horses waiting on you!

Don't worry if you've never been horse riding before when you arrive our 100% qualified instructors will start off the session with a safety briefing and a demonstration showing you how to safely mount and dismount the horse and how to get it to stop and start. 

After the safety briefing you will be helped getting strapped into your safety equipment and will get saddled into your horse!

We will then embark on our journey. Our stables is located within thousands of acres of a conservation area meaning all of the nature is completely untouched and there will be no vehicles interrupting your walk. 

In order to ride the horses you must weigh under 85kg, be shorter than 6ft and be at least five years old. We can only have 6 people per group.

It will just be you your group and the horses with the peaceful chirping of the birds accompanying you along the way!
