Our trial lessons are led by qualified pilots who act as instructors. They will welcome you to the heliport, deliver a safety and technical briefing, then take you in the skies. During this 15-minute flight, you can have a go at piloting the aircraft.

Best of all, our R44 has 4 seats, so you can bring 2 people with you as passengers (size and weight permitting). They’ll marvel at the landscapes below, and your new found skills in the cockpit!

You can bring some spectators as this flight takes place in a Robinson R44 helicopter with 4 seats. If the height and weight of the participants allow, 4 people can enjoy the flight - you, the pilot, and two more.

The meeting point is Brighton City Airport. This aerodrome is in Shoreham-by-Sea, which means that the flight, which lasts 30 minutes, will feature beautiful backdrops of coastal scenery.

You don’t need any kind of licence to enjoy this experience - just the courage to book a trial helicopter lesson. We fly from Brighton City Airport which is right on the stunning south coast in Shoreham-by-Sea.

You’ll take a 45-minute flight along the coast enjoying vistas of Brighton, Portsmouth, the Solent and the Isle of Wight. All the while, one of our expert flight instructors will allow you to take the controls of the helicopter.

You won’t be going in unprepared because the experience starts with a briefing that covers safety and basic flight theory. Your pilot will be responsible for getting the helicopter into the air and will transfer the control to you when appropriate.

As the craft for this trial lesson is a Robinson R44, there are 2 seats in the cabin besides those occupied by you and the pilot. Height and weight restrictions apply, but it’s possible to enjoy this flying experience with 2 extra people coming along as passengers.
