1 Hour Paddleboard Hire on the Great Ouse

Get your fix of watersports, no fuss.

We offer an equipment hire service on the banks of the Great Ouse in Bedford. Get your hands on a paddleboard and go exploring - it’s that simple!

This hire package includes the board, a paddle, a life jacket and a dry bag to keep your personal belongings safe while on the water - all yours for 1 hour. We will also give you a basic map of the river and talk you through the various locations you can visit.

You’ll find us in Kempston at the outdoor centre. This is a fantastic place to go paddleboarding, whether you’re an expert or a novice because the water is flat and calm and there are interesting places to discover.

This experience is suitable for anyone over the age of 12, but one member of the group (up to 12 people) must be at least 21 years old.

How do you fancy a trip down the river?

All you have to do is rent one of our paddleboards from our HQ at the Kempston Outdoor Centre and go with the flow to central Bedford. Passing the grassy banks of the Great Ouse where wildlife abounds, you’ll paddle under a series of bridges and reach the town centre.

By the time you’ve made it back, you’ll have enjoyed a fantastic half-day trip, including about two hours of paddleboarding. We recommend this route to adults and children who are quite active, the minimum age being 12 years old if the group includes adults of the age of 21.

When you hire a paddleboard with us, you also get the paddle, a life jacket and a dry bag thrown in. Our helpful team members will also provide you with a map to help you plan your journey.
