Caliphate Route by MTB Granada

We bring you one of the best routes you can do by mountain bike, or colloquially known as mountain biking. With this itinerary we will be in several Andalusian provinces: Córdoba of the Umayyas, Granada of the Nasrids, and during the tour we will cross part of the domain of Jaén.

Throughout the development of the activity you will be accompanied by our qualified instructor who will also act as a tour guide, explaining all the peculiarities of the places you will be passing through. The itinerary is divided into 3 stages with a total of 200 kilometers:

• Córdoba-Baena: This first stage consists of traveling through the heart of the province of Córdoba. With a great plant diversity, highlighting the sunflower and olive grove plantations. We will be accompanied almost throughout the entire journey along the Guadajoz River, along with its diversity of streams.
• Baena-Alcalá la Real: At the beginning of this stage we will arrive at the Andalusian town of Baena, from this moment we begin to see the Subethic mountain range until we reach the town of Luque. We will also pass through the Alcaudete region, and finally we will tour the banks of the San Juan River whose vegetation is characteristic of the ecosystem in which it is located.
• Alcalá la Real-Granada: In this last section we will reach the province of Jaén, crossing a great variety of towns that will take us to the northern part of Granada, arriving along roads that end in the beautiful Sierra Nevada .

The first stages are of easy difficulty, however the difficulty increases in the third stage due to the increase in the height of the summits, reaching up to 1000 meters.

With this route you are guaranteed to observe a great diversity of landscapes, it is also the best way to explore part of Andalusia and be able to improve yourself with this 200 kilometer itinerary.
