Mountain bike route through Sierra Nevada

If you are a sports lover and you love being in contact with nature, we propose the perfect plan for you to enjoy some incredible moments. Our route will take place in the autonomous community of Andalusia, passing through some of its provinces.

At the beginning of the activity the instructor will give you some basic keys to carry out the activity in complete safety. We will tour the Sierra Nevada National Park, until we reach the Cabo de Gata National Park. This route contains the largest gradient that can be done in Spanish territory: from about 3,000 meters high through the rocky area of Sierra Nevada, to 0 meters in the flat area of the beach.

This route is characterized by the great diversity of places that are crossed: different heights in the mountains, plains, towns, beaches...

The route is divided into four stages with a variety of characteristics:

• Sierra Nevada-Trévelez: this part of the route has a difficult difficulty, we start in the Sierra Nevada National and Natural Park and reach one of the highest towns in Spain, Trévelez. We will pass through peaks of up to 3,200 meters.
• Trévelez-Puerta de la Ragua: we will pass through various territories, such as roads, ravines, the town of Juviles... until we reach the ascent of the Puerto de la Ragua. It also has a fairly high difficulty but the height of the mountains drops to 2,140 meters.
• Puerto de la Ragua-Instinción: from this stage we will be closer to our final destination, the Cabo de Gata National Park. So we changed provinces and began to enter the territory of Almería. The ecosystem also begins to change, we leave aside the forests and give way to the low bushes.
• Instinción-San José: This stage is the hardest of the entire route, it is carried out in Almería, although the descent in height begins to about 1400 meters, at the beginning of this stage there is a great ascent with an arid and much warmer climate that will make the stage more complicated.

Our itinerary is designed to be completed by all people since there is a great variety of difficulty in the various stages, and we will also make stops to rest whenever and whenever the participants want.

We provide you with all the necessary material to practice sports. We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and, above all, appropriate footwear.
