Granada Transnevada Ultratail MTB route

We propose a mountain bike route for the most daring in the sport of cycling. Our route is the perfect plan to release adrenaline, improve yourself, and a perfect ending to end all the stress of the week.

Our activity center is located in the Andalusian province of Granada, and this route takes place around the massif of the Sierra Nevada National Park. Always accompanied by our expert guide, both in the sport and in the area, you will travel through a great diversity of territories, highlighting dirt roads.

This itinerary is divided into four stages to facilitate the entire journey:

• Güejar Sierra-Ladera Ramos in the Port of Ragua: This stage begins in the town of Lugros, passing through Cogollos de Guadix and Jerez del Marquesado. You cross a variety of peaks with different heights, also through mines, some of which have already disappeared, always surrounded by a plant ecosystem characteristic of the area.
• Ladera Ramos in Puerto de Ragua- Baranco de los Benaventes in Puerto de Ragua: this stage has a very high difficulty reaching a maximum height of 2350 meters, we will begin passing through points such as Chullo, Almirez, Vulture and The Polarda. The climate in this area is changing, becoming drier and warmer, thus complicating the route. This stage is characterized by numerous ups and downs among the wonderful vegetation.
• Barranco de los Benaventes in the Port of Ragua-Pampaneira: in the penultimate stage we return to the Andalusian province of Granada, specifically to the Alpujarra municipality. The vegetation changes again, increasing the low bushes, grasslands, crops...We will cross towns with a great history and literature that our tour guide will tell you. You will be able to see two emblematic points of the Alpujarra such as the valleys of the Trévelez River and the Poqueira River.
• Pampaneira-Güejar Sierra: Once we have traveled through the municipality of Alpujarra, the end of this section takes us to our starting point, the northern part of Sierra Nevada. To do this we will cross the ravine of the Lanjarón River, we will descend through some rivers, among which the Dúrcal and the Dilar stand out. This stage is also characterized by the variety of areas in which it takes place: from agricultural areas to sandy areas or pine forests.

You will have all the necessary material to carry out the activity, our instructor will help you at all times, you will be able to make stops whenever the participants wish. We will also bring food and refreshing drinks to regain strength.
