You will live a true adventure exploring the Cañada and its spectacular natural landscapes, in addition, you will be able to rappel down from 7 to 120 meters high.
Chiapas has an underground system called El Chorreadero which is formed by the waters of the Ixtapa River. The water made its way into the mountain until it formed a huge grotto that extends 2.7 kilometers underground. La Cañada allows us to walk along the river bed and discover its immense limestone rock walls and lush vegetation, a place where we carry out rappelling descents.
This experience has a medium-high difficultyso the ages to do it are between 12 and 55 years old, with good physical condition. Our guides, certified and experts in the area, will lead the expedition, and will take you to the best points so that you can fully enjoy this adventure. The offer includes rappelling equipment and a snack so you can regain energy along the way. We also include transportation from San Cristóbal de las Casas to the canyon.
We recommend that you wear a long-sleeved dryfit shirt and comfortable, closed-toe shoes, such as heavy-duty boots or tennis shoes.
