The underground tour will be great and unforgettable, we begin by letting ourselves be carried along the bed of this thunderous river, helped by our flotation and lighting equipment and in certain stages walking.
This river is born in the majesticNevado de Toluca volcano, and then reaches the town of Chontalcoatlán, which gives its name to the river, then it passes through the Cerro de la Corona, and from there onwards It goes 5,287m into a beautiful cave, full of exotic limestone formations with minerals of different colors and textures.
We can explore the entire length of the cavern in two days, or one day, enjoying the pools and canyoned parts of the river, as well as all the almost Gothic formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
