Adult Half Day Rock Climbing Session in Ambleside

Come and be part of this half-day rock climbing session for a challenging experience that’s worth the effort! Most of our favourite climbing locations are around Ambleside, particularly in Langdale. 

The adaptable session is suitable for all levels since we work at your pace, taking you through the techniques step by step. We aim to see you at the end of the session climbing better than at the beginning, with more confidence and an improved climbing rhythm.

You will be learning and practising climbing for half a day, in which you will be guided and instructed by a qualified instructor ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Please be aware that the price presented here is only for adults 18 years and older.

The session will start with a short walk, carrying the equipment, to a climbing spot - one of the Lake District's famous cliffs or crags. Then you’ll receive a safety briefing and a short lesson, followed by scrambling and bouldering practice. Then, you’ll learn how to belay and use the ropes, before completing pitched climbs.

Climbing and safety equipment are part of the price. You need to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoor weather.

This is a full day session led by an instructor who will ensure you are safe and enjoy climbing while improving your level. Everyone can join us, but this price is only for adults over eighteen. Come prepared for some physical effort and wear comfortable and appropriate clothing and footwear.

Our session will start with an introduction to the equipment, safety procedures and activity. After that, we will go to one of the famous crags of the Lake District and learn some important climbing techniques. We will kick off with some low scrambling and bouldering, then progressively increase the difficulty depending on your level and desires.

All the necessary climbing and safety equipment is included in the price.
