We can run this activity in the morning or afternoon with a schedule of 9:30-12:30 or 1:30 to 4:30.

Our fully qualified mountain leaders have years of experience and unique local knowledge that allows us to adapt the experience to create the best session for you based on abilities and weather conditions so we can choose from various locations for this rock climbing taster day, such as Lion Rocks near Llanberis, Castle Inn Quarry near Colwyn Bay, Carreg y Foel Gron near Ffestiniog and even coastal areas on Anglesey like Holyhead Mountain.
Our passionate instructors will instil you with great confidence in no time as you learn the basics of climbing from them and some belaying skills, so there will be lots to learn in a long day of climbing lasting around 7 hours but also lots to challenge yourself with and opportunities to improve your skills while absorbing the enriching sights from glorious heights.
This session is available to everyone 13 and over, but under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian so you can make it a fun family adventure in the rocky Welsh mountains.
We provide a briefing on specific safety procedures before the session and supply all the necessary equipment, including a harness, helmet ropes and technical climbing kit.
You should prepare for all weather, so we suggest you wear loose-fitting or stretchy trousers, a pair of sturdy trainers or your rock shoes; bring a packed lunch, hot/cold drinks, and some extra warm layers if you like.
