If you have never heard of the El Arenal cave, it shows that you have never been to León. It is one of the best-known caves in the area, located in Valdeteja, next to the Río Curueño. Thanks to its wide variety of routes, this cave is perfect for the intermediate level in caving.

This cave draws attention to its horizontal progression that develops at different levels. Its spectacular labyrinthine galleries and its great spaciousness stand out. The El Arenal cave has the longest route of the caves in the area with more than 4 km in length and is formed under the Peña del Castillo.

Come and enjoy a route of about 2 to 4 hours traveling through underground rivers, rappelling down the majestic underground waterfalls and crawling through the narrow steps and gates that take you into the spectacular underground world.

Remember to bring appropriate clothing for the activity:

Mountain shoes.

Swimsuit and towel.

Change clothes as you will get wet.
