B&B Pervinca

The B&B Pervinca is located in Schierano in Rocca Grimalda, in Alto Monferrato, a land of hills, vineyards and cellars on the border between Piedmont and Liguria. We are about 6 kilometers from the Ovada toll booth of the A26 motorway and about fifty kilometers from Genoa. We have been managing the bed and breakfast for over ten years and over time the ways of sleeping with us have become four.

The B&B occupies the ground floor of the yellow house, with 80 square meters divided between living room, kitchen, two bathrooms and two bedrooms. In the Spirit-room you will find a wood-burning fireplace and a collection of Italian and foreign beers. The Lappish-room is furnished in Lappish style, with a wrought iron bed covered in reindeer fur and 80 centimeter thick stone walls that keep it cool even in the height of summer.

The other three accommodations each have a different character. The barrel is a mini-apartment made from three original 19th century chestnut and oak barrels, with a double bedroom, bathroom with shower and veranda. Elanor's Garden is our Hobbit house, built inspired by Tolkien's tales with the round door and domed ceiling. Finally there is the nineteenth-century stone house, divided into two independent apartments with kitchen and garden for those who prefer to organize themselves.

The B&B's garden is fenced and children can play safely while adults use the barbecue and wood-burning oven. For those who want to move there is a small fitness area and several mountain bike routes in the surrounding area. To relax there is the sauna, and upon request our qualified staff performs muscle and lymphatic drainage massages. Sauna and massages are paid separately, on site.

Breakfast is sweet, or savory if you ask us in advance. Those who have left us a review especially remember how abundant it is, together with the kindness of the hostess.

Rocca Grimalda is a medieval village known for the Mask Museum and the Lachera, one of the oldest popular carnivals in Italy. In the surrounding area you can visit Ovada with its buildings with painted facades and Gavi with the Fort that dominates the town, or reach the spa of Acqui Terme about 17 kilometers away.
