For take-off, we position ourselves between kilometres 33 and 34 of the TF-24 road. This is one of the best flights in Spain’s highest area, featuring one of the steepest descents. The take-off point is in the Teide National Park, at 2,200 metres altitude, followed by a 45-minute descent over the La Orotava Valley and the town of Puerto de la Cruz.

It’s an ideal spot for both expert and beginner paragliders. The flight is calm and straightforward, with low to moderate intensity. A gentle slope facilitates take-off. Landing takes place at Playa Jardín, Playa de Martiánez, or the open area near Puerto de la Cruz’s harbour.

At the start of the flight, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Teide, making for a spectacular experience. Izaña is one of the highest points in Europe.
During the flight, you’ll see the Güímar Valley meeting the Atlantic waters, the Izaña Atmospheric Observatory, the La Orotava Valley, and Spain’s highest peak, Mount Teide.

There are two zones for take-off and landing: Izaña South or Izaña North.
Paragliding in Izaña South
If you choose the south-facing flight over Tenerife, you’ll soar above the Güímar Valley, where volcanic landscapes like the crater of "Cho Marcial" volcano come into view. You’ll land at Puertito de Güímar or the town of Candelaria.

For this tandem paragliding flight, the wind direction must be weak/moderate from the South, Southeast, or East.
Take-off is near the road in the Teide National Park. This is a protected area, so respect for nature and the landscape is essential.

Landing occurs at Puertito de Güímar Beach or Playa de Candelaria. Note: Landing at Puertito de Güímar is only permitted in winter—it’s prohibited in summer when the beach is crowded.

Paragliding in Izaña North
Take-off is located in the Teide National Park. You’ll fly over the La Orotava Valley in northern Tenerife and land at Puerto de la Cruz.

The wind direction for this route must be weak/moderate from the Northwest, North, or Northeast.
Take-off is alongside the road in the Teide National Park, another protected area requiring environmental care. Landing is at Playa Martiánez or the open area of Puerto de la Cruz.
