Monoski professional

If you regularly practise water skiing or monoskiing, you'll know that many factors contribute to a fully satisfying experience – one that delivers the adrenaline rush you seek while also helping you improve with each water skiing session.

One of the most influential factors in monoskiing is the type of vessel used for towing. The engine power is decisive in whether you manage to get up out of the water and, consequently, enjoy this water sport to the fullest.

Don’t assume, however, that being towed by a jet ski, for example, will result in a worse experience. Even a watercraft with relatively low horsepower can provide incredible enjoyment if the right technique is applied.

Good monoskiing technique means you won’t necessarily need a high-powered boat. At first, it may be more challenging, but if you want to get up on your skis without issue, simply tilt them to avoid "slowing down" the boat. Additionally, keep your legs tucked in and avoid extending them when you feel the initial pull of the tow rope.

Ultimately, the best way to refine your techniques and movements while practising monoskiing – no matter your favourite "spot" – is to learn from the best. That’s why we’ve compiled the top water skiing schools and clubs you can find in our country – just click here
